You'll have to either upload it to a cloud service like Google drive, or join us on the Discord and upload it for me on there.

There are 6 .mdmp files in my rocksmith 2014 folder, the newest of which is from 6/30/2023. All the other crash files in there are from 2013

Problem solved,  somehow moved a folder full of videos and photos and misc. files into the rocksmith folder and after evicting the stowaway folder rocksmith and rocksmith2014 both load and run as they should. Thanks Phantatsy for pointing me in the right direction that lead me to find the the misplaced folder that was muciking up the works.

LMAO, Not at all what I expected to find either. Now if only my real tone cords would work. For whatever reason rocksmith doesnt see them as being plugged in. If it aitn one thing its another with me.

I'd start by going to windows sound settings and make sure it's set to 48000 Hz

set to 48000 and my system sees the cord but rocksmith still doesnt see it. It just keeps saying that it appears to not be plugged in, please plug in real tone cable or select a different mode.

I had this problem recently on a laptop. Dual drive laptop, both hard drives are nearly identical, as cloned with the exception of what the background is so that I know what drive that I am on.

On the drive I had been using the cable worked in every USB slot. When I put Learn and Play on the second drive, the usb slot on the left of the laptop would not recognize the cable within Rocksmith even though it was showing and functioning in Windows and functioned perfectly fine using the other drive.

There are a lot of different things that can be causing your situation.

If you have any Bluetooth items, unplug them for the moment until you figure out the cable. Often Bluetooth interferes with exclusivity.

If you have any other USB items, unplug those for the moment as well until your cable shows in game as well.

If you have any other microphones, disable and or disconnect those as well, particularly if you are using headphones with a built-in mic.

(Frequently external speakers mess with exclusivity and the cable as well)

With in settings, go to Privacy, Microphone and make sure "Allow Apps To Access Your Microphone" is selected and to Yes. There was an update that switched it to Off / to No.

It seems I'm having the same issue as OP. Rocksmith's been working for YEARS and today I only get to see a white screen, a glimpse of the RS logo at the right-down corner and game exits: no crashes, no info, only mini-dump files in the game's folder. I uploaded the mentioned file, maybe that will say something:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kehzmgz6BduJCRQHmEWAYkIGSosdjOkj/view?usp=drive_link

The only difference before yesterday when the game worked and today when it doesn't is the installation of new nVidia drivers and STALKER 2 installation. I tried to verify the game's files, I even reinstalled it. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

I analyzed your mdmp crash file for you. The error indicates your RSMods installation version is in conflict with the game. Usually this means you're running an old beta or "previous version" of the game and trying to use the latest version or RSMods, or the other way around - and using an old version of RSMods on the latest version of the game.

You can see the analysis in the image below:

That's useful information. Will deleting the "RSMods" folder from the game's root folder do the job? I don't even remember installing any RSMods in the past so I don't need them.

The file you need to delete is the xinput1_3.dll from the main Rocksmith folder.

That helped! Thank you! Huh, "thank you" isn't enough. I was so frustrated when the game started to crash. Thanks again. May the god of guitar bless you or whatever 😄
