  1. I was not aware of all of this or what NSBM was when this all first started. In other threads this was brought up. @ Unleashed2k has stated that he has used the Wiki listing of such artists to base his decision. Although not in his art/lyrics, it is the artists political / racists beliefs and outspoken as such, as Blues said. You personally can internalize the argument yourself of separating the artist from the art, but let us be real. Hitler was a painter, would you have purchase a painting from him? As Blues said; This is the Admins site. Their site, their rules.
  2. rs1compatibilitydisc_p.psarc rs1compatibilitydisc_m.psarc if you are on a mac rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc
  3. Not only not having to re-download, but avoid losing any that the links are now dead or such.
  4. It sounds like something got corrupted, is what I am reading. First make a back up of all the cdlc so that they do not get deleted. It is possible for whatever reason the D3DX9_42.dll became corrupted or is missing. Remove it from the folder if it is still there. Try a file repair through verify files / from Steam library; either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right From the drop down menu, select Properties, Select the Installed Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button. Before attempting to run any cDLC make sure that the game works first. If the game works after that then try adding the D3DX9_42.dll. Make sure that there is only one D3DX9_42.dll. You may have to temporarily disable your antivirus in order to download the cDLC enabler. Remember to re-enable your antivirus after downloading. You may have to move the enabler to the Rocksmith folder that has Rocksmith2014.exe to run it. Most often you do not, but a couple people have said that they had to. If that does not work, I personally would uninstall Rocksmith and re-install due to it sounding corrupted. Again, make sure you back up your cdlc before doing so. Again make sure the game works before adding the D3DX9_42.dll, and cdlc back to the dlc folder.
  5. You are not the first to have Rs1 dlc to go missing. Usually doing as Phantatsy said, removing the rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc and forcing Rocksmith to reinstall it works most of the time. If had Rs1 purchased you could use the DLC tab in the Steam Library to attempt to do the same thing, as well as Phantatsy said to use verify files. I personally do not use discord, but you are more than welcome to head to the discord server and seek help there, from what others say, there are more people active in the discord server.
  6. 222,016kb. Size of either file does not matter, you are comparing 2 different things. Size will be relative to what dlc I have installed, you would need the same exact dlc installed, no more, no less, same songs for the file size to match, as far as I am aware of. The problem with the screen shots is also moot, as what I still said still stands, you do not need Rs1 in order for the Rs1 songs to work in Rs2014. I am more than glad to share the screen shots with you, however it is moot. However is actually multiple things as Rs1 dlc only shows in Rs1 dlc list, not Rs2014 list. Since I do have Rs1 purchased, [Rs1 charts] show in that DLC list, not the 2014 list. Would not matter if Rs was not purchased. Using the Rs1 dlc list, like the 2014 list you can check and uncheck dlc to force them to un/ reinstall. You can view what DLC you have, in Support, there will be a list of DLC you have purchased under Rocksmith 2014, and under purchases. A better method is In the upper right hand corner, click your profile name and select "Account Details" from the drop down list. Click on "View purchase history" to list your receipts and purchase history. It used to be under Settings, account details, view account details.
  7. You do not need to own the Rs1 to play the dlc in Rocksmith 2014. I just checked my Blink 182 songs from that pack, and they play. I do not think it is an issue with that, and a local issue on your end.
  8. You need the d3dx9.dll in order for cdlc to work. You do not need a original dlc for cdlc to work if you are using the current d3dx9.dll. Go to the first page, first post of the "use cdlc" thread, link top of the page. Download the cdlc enabler. There is nothing wrong with the download. You may have to give permissions or temporarily disable / turn off antivirus. You may have to move the enabler to the Rocksmith folder before running it. Cdlc should be and go in the dlc folder. You do not have to make a seperate folder within the dlc folder, but it will help keep it organized. If you still can not get the enabler to download, go to page 41 of the "use cdlc" thread, and use that link. If you do use that link, send a thank you to Nick Beat for providing it. make sure the d3dx9.dll goes in the Rocksmith 2014 folder, with the rocksmith2014.exe, the second image you have posted in this thread.
  9. I do not see anything wrong with the .ini settings. In Privacy settings under "Microphone privacy settings" make sure that "Allow apps to access your microphone" is selected. This is another common missed / forgotten setting.
  10. It more than likely was not the CDLC enabler. Something else, another device like headphones, something bluetooth, a mic on a headphone, a usb hub is stealing the exclusivity of the cable. Make sure the properties for it in windows are set to 48khz/16bit DVD, and that you have the boxes for allow exclusivity and give exclusive apps priority.
  11. Sooooooo you are asking another forum member how to get you prohibited material, and asking them to sacrifice their membership to this forum in your place? I am confused as to what you are really asking here. "I need someone to help me violate the rules that are clearly spelled out in front of me, telling me that the chart is not available that I had 10 years to properly acquire"? I guarantee a Moderator or Administrator is going to be along shortly and tell you "No," and promptly lock this thread. If they do not suspend your account. SMH. Go to youtube, do a search for "My God is the Sun from Queens of the Stone Age Rocksmith", and multiple play throughs are done. Use the video to learn the song.
  12. Personal choice. The new cDLC enabler / .dll leaves "no reason" to use the previous build. The current .dll does not require a oDLC, works with large thread count intel cpus. Only reason you would be using the previous build is for some reason your particular pc does not like the current build. For what it is worth, I am using the current build on my laptop with the newest .dll, however on a machine I have set aside "for the apocalypse shtf yada yada" I am using the justincaseweneedit build with an old .dll just because, and I can't stand the news section.
  13. Seemed offensive to ask but was a relevant question as have spent and wasted hours trying to "help" someone that turns out they were using a non legit version. I can not take anything for granted anymore. According to the the post from Nov 23rd, no dlc should be needed to get it working. As Mod Phantasy said, it points to the wrong version being used. It is a good start in my opinion that the game works without cdlc first, however I think you should first attempt to do a file verify, and as Phantasy said, make sure that you are using the current version of Rocksmith.
  14. You are on a new account. One must ask this, how new is your Rocksmith installation, where did you obtain Rocksmith from and when
  15. Head over here and make the requests, check to see if anyone else has requested the same songs; https://ignition4.customsforge.com/wishlist
  16. There are a few guesses and possibilities. The channel owner charted the song themself and did not share it on Ignition, It was hosted on a share service that has shut down, Or on one of the services that has changed policies such as Google drive changed their sharing policies and the uploader did not change permissions so the song was eventually removed. Or another reason I can not think of at the moment. Any are possible. Go over to the wishlist and request it, although it is possible that someone may still have it and see this post and share it with you.
  17. This is the correct size for the current dll. Obvious question, is it in the correct location, where the Rocksmith.exe is located? Did the game work prior to adding the cdlc / dll? Are you using the rocksmith cable, or are you using an audio interface? Are you using any mods? Are you using any bluetooth devices, i.e. bluetooth headphones? Are you using any other usb devices that would be taking exclusivity away from the cable, i.e. usb headphones? I would start with removing the dll, see if the game runs any other non cdlc song and no mods first, if it does not run a repair on the game. If that does not work, uninstall, reinstall Rocksmith. Again, try it without any mods, nor cdlc first to see if the game is working first.
  18. Thank you very much for sharing your experience, the problem and solution. I do not doubt that this will probably help someone else as well.
  19. My assumption, but was asking for confirmation. And true, I was basing my DLC no longer needed on that assumption.
  20. Yes, Cherub Rock delisted a while ago in October. Are you using PC or Mac? It is good that the Volbeat dlc is showing in game. Is any of your other dlc showing up in game? Having Cherub Rock is no longer needed, in fact no dlc is now required with the latest patch (cdlc enabler). Do you have only one D3DX9_42.dll in the folder? (Root folder for Rocksmith 2014, where the Rocksmith2014.exe is located). Yes, after 48 pages that have turned into a help thread, it has become a rather deep pond.
  21. Ok, so walk us through what you did (or maybe didn't) do. When you reinstalled, did you try the base game alone without any cdlc or any mods to see if the base game was working? Are you using any mods? Did you use a file or the CDLC installer? Have you tried verifying the game files? Is there only one D3DX9_42.dll in the root directory of Rocksmith? What size is it? Is it crashing on a particular song? the same song?
  22. Agreed, but not to be pedantic, the reason I stated as such OP did not say they ran the CDLC enabler or what / where, just that "replaced the file". One can assume a lot of things by this general wording. They stated they patched the cdlc, not Rocksmith after adding the file.
  23. Usually means that you are using the wrong version of the file. Not always the case, but usually is.
  24. Does the game work as it is supposed to before adding cdlc and / or the cdlc fix? Has the game worked in the past? Has cdlc worked in the past? What changed since then? (Your account says that you have been a member since Oct 2023.) Usually what you described happening, "it just sits me between the amps" is indicative of no (cdlc).dll installed or the wrong .dll. Go to the Rocksmith 2014 folder, see if the D3DX9_42.dll is in that folder (same folder as Rocksmith2014.exe typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014) and what size the .dll is if it is in that folder.
  25. Joke: It is roadwear, people are now spending good money for a roadworn finish. Not Joke; It is difficult to say from a photo and not having it in my hand to say for certain, but appears to me a scuff from say rubber or someone's belt. You will want to be very gentle in trying to remove it. There are different ways to do so. If it is not a transfer scuff but actual damage to the finish you can and will make the damage worse. Try gently using a dab of dish soap, a SLIGHTLY damp cloth. Try it on the ivory colored binding first to not damage the blue portion. If soap works, try the blue, gently. If that does not work, try a dab of toothpaste and a soft cloth, say micro fiber cloth, and again just do there on the binding first as to not damage the blue. try GENTLY so to not damage the clear coat or go into the blue. IF it comes off, gently try the blue. There are other compounds like Nufinish that can gentle buff it out, but keep in mind that it is an abrasive, but tooth paste is an abrasive also. Use a wax after wards, again with a soft cloth.
