Is there any way to get the original Rocksmith songs to work in Rocksmith 2014? I have the original disk, but I'd like to avoid installing it if there's a way to simply use the Custom Song Creator Toolkit to work on the files directly.

Even simpler - I really just want to grab the Go with the Flow song by Queens of the Stone Age. Is there a better way to get just that?

simply buy the Disc import tool on steam to get all (except two) on-disc song from RS1 without having anything to install. For RS1 DLC, buy them directly from the RS1 store page (you need to own RS1 for that to work due to steam own limitation).

Yes, it is really simple: You buy the "Disk Import Tool" on Steam (consoles have something similar, I guess) and all your Rocksmith 1 songs show up in Rocksmith 2014.

Edit: I guess this is called beeing ninja'd? :D

Check out my easy tutorial on how to add a metronome to your CDLC: Mute the original music, play only with the metronome and find out how good you really sound! Also: Find CDLCs that have the metronome enabled!

Want a USB-Footswitch that you can use to control the tone selection and all the menus in Rocksmith? Check out Rodman's Tutorial and my additions to that!  Footswitch_Logo.png

My CDLCs: Devin Townsend - Life, Deep Peace, Ih-Ah!, Deadhead; Farin Urlaub - Ok

My ideas for new features in Ignition, e.g. filters for Multitrack CDLC and Metronome CDLC.

Hey, I have the same question. I have the original Rocksmith on Disc, and Rocksmith 2014 from Steam. Does the Disc importer work this way too? Because from the Steam store page, they say they Disc Importer Tool needs the original Rocksmith from Steam (which I don't have).

Can someone confirm this tool works for me?

Thanks.

The Disc Import Tool will only work if you own the original Rocksmith on Steam.

Maybe you can activate your retail disk copy of Rocksmith 1 on Steam?

I have a different question.  I have only bought Rocksmith 2014 Remastered.  I now want to get the songs from Original Rocksmith.  Can I simply buy the Steam version of Original Rocksmith and move the songs over with the same "Disc Importer Tool", or do I have to get the physical copy (CD/DVD) of Original Rocksmith?
