What are some good, easy songs available as CDLC here for a beginner?

please specify the genre or at least the tuning you prefer...

without any clue bout that, i would say band like arctic monkeys, white stripes/jack white, kings of leon, nirvana or U2.

if you look for some easy rock in E std...

You can always look through the championship leaderbord.  There is one beginner song for every weak.  Just scroll between the different weeks at the bottom of the page.

You can also check List of past songs from Rocksmith Championship. We're keeping there songs that were already played, with difficulty ratings. You would be interested in green ones :)

Sodom - Remember the Fallen (Rythm)

 

This really helped me with palm mutes and power chords.

Its not too easy at first I used to riff repeat the whole song at a slower speed but theres not too many changes in the song so its possible to get up to speed really quick.

 

Also.

 

No Use For A Name - For Fiona

 

Very fun song (power chords) and not too challanging. Just great for getting comfortable with the guitar and fretboard.
