Rocksmith 2014 PC Requirements

wlorcb

Question

This site is awesome. Many thanks to all the guys putting up CDLC and the tutorials on how to make your own.

Will a PC with an Intel 2.33 GHz Core 2 Quad CPU with an Nvidia Quadro FX1800 vid card run the game? Does the game actually check what you have when you install it, or will it just suck when you try to play?

thanks

Yes, you might just be able to squeeze enough to play it on minimum, if you have an xbox or a playstation though, i would personally suggest getting it on there just in case it doesnt work (better safe than sorry) or you could give a go at upgrading your pc.

p.s i do believe it does check your pc to see if it can run it... but i dont remember seeing a check personally

I did get a reply back from Ubi-the CPU will work, the vid card won't. I actually already have RS2014 for my PS3, but I don't want to go through the hassle of breaking it to play CDLC. I have a PC that is already way over the requirements, but it is my mine PC and not in the music room, so I am planning to buy another used one that will basically just be for running RS2014 and CDLC.

Did you consider trying Steam In-Home-Streaming?

Check this out if you don't know what it is:

http://store.steampowered.com/streaming/

Basically you can use a low-end machine to play on, while your main PC in the same network does the heavy work.

Input from Keyboard and Controllers is sent to your main PC, but the microphone input isn't (...yet, Valve will probably include that someday).

Thus you were still required to plug the RS-Cable into your main PC, so I guess you would need some sort of wireless audio transmitter (or whatever this is called)... and then you would have to pray that the latency doesn't fuck everything up.

Just try out streaming with someone's laptop first ;-)

Check out my easy tutorial on how to add a metronome to your CDLC: Mute the original music, play only with the metronome and find out how good you really sound! Also: Find CDLCs that have the metronome enabled!

Want a USB-Footswitch that you can use to control the tone selection and all the menus in Rocksmith? Check out Rodman's Tutorial and my additions to that!  Footswitch_Logo.png

My CDLCs: Devin Townsend - Life, Deep Peace, Ih-Ah!, Deadhead; Farin Urlaub - Ok

My ideas for new features in Ignition, e.g. filters for Multitrack CDLC and Metronome CDLC.

Ran your specs over at Game Debate. Your setup satisfied the minimum requirement, but not the recommended requirements.

CPU is fine. GPU is under powered. You might have to tweak a couple of settings if you notice any lag.

Read the RocksmithConfiguration.pdf file located in the Rocksmith2014 folder to explain all of the setting in your Rocksmith.ini file.

Hi wlorcb!

my laptop has five years at least and works fine but I had to set up some video options. Your pc requeriments are not the recommended but have to work without problems. Now I'm not at home but if you are not able to work it, let me know and I'll send you my configuration.

Regards,
