  1. Probably not the same site you were thinking of, but this one has a bunch of multitracks split into vocals/guitar/bass/drums/everything else. http://www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=57010 and http://www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=56438 As a bonus they come with vocals typed out and the tempo map is already completed by Harmonix. Need to register before viewing.
  2. There are many tutorials here, but if you want to limit your reading check these two out: http://customsforge.com/topic/35318-cdlc-creation-for-rocksmith-2014-remastered/ http://customsforge.com/topic/890-tech-notes-tutorial-authoring-complex-bends-and-more/ Regarding slides: Left click a note to select it. Mouse scroll up/down to change the note length (or press "[" and "]" ) Press CTRL+UP for a slide to a higher note. A popup box will ask where you want the slide to end. Press CTRL+DOWN if you want to slide to a lower note.
  3. Red-Sun-Rising_The-Otherside_v1_3_DD_p.psarc worked for me. Make sure your downloads end in p.psarc (m is for mac).
  4. FYI, that video is from January 2014, which was before everyone migrated to customsforge. The previous download site is gone forever, and its backup seems to be gone too.
  5. Ask the creator to generate song using the latest version of EOF, EOF hotfix, and latest Rocksmith Custom Toolkit. -Edit I take that back. I just played Tears like Diamonds v1.1 and there was no glitches on my end. Also played Judy French, no chord glitches there. Also played Wavezesz, no sliding notes in the intro. Weird Mac thing maybe?
  6. Thanks, I had better luck using the guitar Analog Filter (set to bandpass) with the sensitivity and Attack turned down.
  7. The way it is notated, you will hit each note with the tip of your index finger. BUT Listen to the song. If it sounds like an arpeggio, bar your finger and let each note ring. If this is a custom song the creator probably didn't polish up with handshapes/arpeggios. For your second question, Rocksmith does not care about sustain and will not punish you for playing a note too short/long. If it is supposed to be muted, Rocksmith will let you know with an "x" on the note. If it is notably quick, sometimes Rocksmith will bold the note (accent). Normally, play the note for a beat (use your ear to judge though) and just release your left finger. You can also dampen the string with your right palm if you want. Here is the note guide: http://static2.cdn.ubi.com/ncsa/rocksmith/website/guides/Notehead-tail%20guide.pdf
  8. I'm trying to get a funky envelope filter sound on bass, and I can't get anything decent using the Bass Auto Filter or Auto Wah. Can anyone think of any official songs that use a wah or other type of filter for the bass?
  9. Only when you feel like it :) We're all here to have fun.
  10. In the tookit configuration tab, make sure you are set to the wwise directory. If you still have problems, this version of wwise is confirmed working: https://www.audiokinetic.com/files/?get=2015.1.9_5624/Wwise_v2015.1.9_Setup.exe Don't forget to use the latest version of EOF and it's hotfix. Use the latest TEST build of the toolkit. Also, you are able to play other customs, right?
  11. That tutorial tells you how to convert the wav files to wem files. I suggest you don't do that; let the toolkit do it for you. Delete your wem and preview wem files. When using the toolkit, use the wav file EOF created for you.
  12. Looking at this video the sections/phrases were not done correctly. Just add DD using the toolkit or song manager.
  13. That song doesn't seem to be uploaded here anymore. If you upload the song (in this thread) we could find out. But it sounds like sections/phrases were not done correctly. Maybe bad fret hand positions too. If it was caused by a lack of sections, the toolkit and song manager let you add DD, which creates sections/phrases. If the problem is bad fret hand positions, you'll have to unpack the song and fix that in EOF.
  14. Can anyone name some official Rocksmith songs that have a ton of octave slides in them? Cherub Rock has a few of them, but I can't think of anything else at the moment.
  15. Dynamics-> Noise Gate is kinda the same. If cuts out when you are below a (selectable) threshold.
  16. Backup up your project folder first in case something gets messed up. You can delete the backup when everything is good. In eof there is an add leading silence option. Add 3000ms of silence if you want 3 seconds, but 9000 would be similar to official dlc. Delete your wem files, that way the toolkit uses your new wav file.
  17. There are a few ways to handle the sharp audio. 1) Have Rocksmith ask the player to tune up a little bit. On-disk examples: No More Mr. Nice Guy - E Standard (A447) Machinehead - E Standard (A447) Champagne Supernova - E Standard (A443) There's probably a proper way of finding the tuning, but I would just try 447 and see how it sounds. If you are still flat, bump it up a couple cents and retest until you get it right. 2) Lower the pitch of the audio track. Using Audacity (free and should be on your computer anyways :) ) you can click effect->change pitch-> and change the pitch by something like -0.3 semitones. There are those who will say this ruins the song, but to each his own. 3) Do nothing. If being out of tune doesn't bother you, this is a option.
  18. Sounds like this: --6-- --6-- --6-- --6-- --7-- --6-- While another layer does this: ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ -----7----7----- --6----6-------- While another layer does this: ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ -----4----4----- --6----6-------- Also the whole track is kinda sharp. It might just be sped up for the youtube vid; I'm not sure cause this track isn't on the American album I own.
  19. Update to latest version of EOF and latest hotfix. Update to latest TEST build of the toolkit.
  20. In addition to updating tools and repacking, let the toolkit do the wwise conversion for you rather than doing it yourself. If you get a wwise error in the toolkit, use this version: https://www.audiokinetic.com/files/?get=2015.1.9_5624/Wwise_v2015.1.9_Setup.exe
  21. Upgrade to latest EOF and EOF hotfix. Upgrade to latest Rocksmith Toolkit TEST build.
  22. If you are playing a ii V I progression it sounds nice to mix it up and play the root of the V chord on the B string.
  23. You could try experimenting with the analog filter or omni-mod.
