How do you feel about dynamic difficulty?
xvladx replied to devindog23's topic in Rocksmith Remastered
Mmm... it was fun for me when I started playing, but then it just got in the way of me actually learning a song. I play Rocksmith to learn songs rather than having to use a boring tab on Guitar Pro, and with DD lowered down you're not actually learning the song, you're just playing some notes of the song. Whether you have fun playing half the song or not is up to the player I guess, but for me the way to go is slow down difficult parts, and speed it up as I learn it. I guess a beginner can lower the difficulty and play a very difficult song, but in the end he's not really playing the song an -
Anyway to play songs without tuning?
xvladx replied to raybarboni123456's topic in Rocksmith Remastered
I have tuned from B standard to E standard multiple times and my strings are somehow still intact lol. If there's a way to skip tuning I'd like to know too since I have multiple guitars with different tunings and it gets annoying that even though I'm tuned I need to do the tuning thing anyways. They should add a "multiple guitars" feature where you choose with which one you are playing on an update or the next RS. -
I don't think I will be submitting this week anything. I don't really have the time to learn a 20 minute song that I won't like, no offense to anyone who likes Dream Theater (John Petrucci is an amazing guitarist though).

My final score http://i.imgur.com/UYvy9b3.jpg it's pretty shit, i know, but i haven't had time to practice this song in particular, only learned the rhythm and the first acoustic solo, the rest nothing.

http://i.imgur.com/iiEcGiZ.jpg This is only playing the song itself without most of the solo... I'm too lazy to try to learn it ATM, should be closer to 98/97 if I learn it, but as of now, cba to learn it lol.

Was trying to get a 98% on Dire straits lead but my hard drive went corrupt, so I had to wipe everything. This is the highest score I was able to achieve, and will be my final score unless I can install Windows 7 and RS again because apparently it doesn't support Linux. http://i.imgur.com/RwLCumz.jpg

Decided to try out this championship thing. Only been playing guitar for about 10 months but felt adventurous and decided to try the master class song lol. http://i.imgur.com/jRCMtwE.jpg Only got a 92.29, played the solo part a bit messy. It isn't a hard solo, I just need to practice it a little bit more.

I only really get fatigued after I've played for around 6 hours, but I've noticed that if I don't do warm ups and stretch my arms and shoulders area I get tired quicker so it is certainly good to get your hands and arms warmed up before doing anything. The John Petrucci video has some really good exercises IMO (Rock Discipline I think it's called), but they're for guitar, not 100 percent sure if they will be the same with bass. But the warm ups and stretches for sure will work.

They look pretty cool and for a good price. I need a new guitar but it needs to be a Flying V + EMGs lol.

Can you name the song that piqued your interest in guitar?
xvladx replied to devindog23's topic in Music Discussion
This song in particular. I started playing around late November last year, not sure if I can play the solo yet, probably I'll be able to soon since I can get to that speed playing other stuff. Just gotta keep practicing. -
I have an Ibanez GRG20Z (first guitar) and a Schecter Damien Platinum FR. I love the Schecter, and even though the Ibanez is one of the cheap version it still plays pretty good. Probably gonna get a new guitar this month for my birthday, a Flying V or some weird shaped guitar, I need some variety lol.

I lower the speed until I can pretty much do it perfectly with 0 notes wrong. Then I start upping the speed manually until I struggle to do it then repeat and repeat and repeat. To gain speed you just need to repeat it as many times as needed so that you will do it instinctively without having to think about it.
