  1. Quiet by This Will Destroy You used to be in the database but isn't any longer (that I see). Wondering if anyone has it that can re-up it. I deleted it because it made Rocksmith act wonky with Smashing Pumpkins Quiet but between the two I'd rather have TWDY back :o
  2. I'd really love to see some Matthew Good or Hayden stuff. Here's a couple examples: Matthew Good - Bullets in a Briefcase. Guitar's a bit light to start but ends with a great instrumental section. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8LZIFtH62g Hayden - The Hazards of Sitting Beneath Pine Trees (Live). Absolutely love the guitar tone in the jam at the end of this version. https://vimeo.com/85667566
  3. I definitely read the chart. In fact I had to turn off Pro mode or whatever it's called because I play too many random CDLC that I'd come back to a song with an invisible note chart and I'd have forgotten what to play :o I'm still a total noob myself but I can say that the ability to read the chart and play along does come with practice.
  4. Rad, I'd still love those re-sync'd Deftones songs.
  5. I had a dream last night that I had like a dozen guitars side by side. One of them was a busted old Hofner violin bass with 5 tuning pegs, but one of the strings wasn't connected to the bridge, but to a rusty nail stuck in the body. Another was a Gretsch with a really short neck like a mandolin. Then I woke up and I still only have two :(
  6. It would be wonderful if someone could chart some stuff like Kathleen Edwards. I wish I had the wherewithal to chart a song from ear. I'd love to be able to learn the guitar solo Gord Tough does in
  7. Mogwai - Hunted by a Freak is in there too. To be honest I'm kind of surprised no one has done more from Explosion in the Sky, I would've thought they'd be very popular in a community like this.
  8. The database is certainly skewed very heavily toward a particular taste in music, that's true. I'd sure as heck be down for some Destroyer or Modest Mouse though so get on making them, Matty ;)
  9. Ah sweet, I look forward to the Deftones resyncs.
  10. The column I wouldn't mind seeing is a genre tag. It'd help to be able to filter out genres you don't like and find new music for the ones you do.
  11. I'm still very much a beginner, I don't know if I could properly assess a guitar just by holding it and plunking away in a shop.
  12. Right now I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard but I kind of have an itch to get a Stratocaster as well. I'm not keen to pay a lot at the moment though so I was looking at the Squier deluxe model (specifically this one.) Is this a decent guitar compared to the epiphone or will it feel worse?
  13. Only one, a cherry burst Epiphone Les Paul. I'd love to get my hands on one of the olympic white Corgan signature Strats though.
  14. You can probably use the tour section on spfc.org and archive.org to figure it out. This is my jam from that Guggenheim show:
  15. songsterr.com seems like the easiest way to get tabs, the tutorial video in these forums shows where to find the tab pro link for a song. For harder to find Smashing Pumpkins tabs maybe try spfc.org.
  16. Nice, I love Porcelina. Can't wait!
  17. Today, Smashing Pumpkins - 37 Plug in Baby, Muse - 30 Cherub Rock, Smashing Pumpkins - 26 I play Cherub Rock every time I'm drunk and pretend I'm better at guitar than I am.
  18. I've been wondering this myself. I sort of thought they would be really popular amongst guitarists. I would love to see CDLC of songs like Soma, Mayonaise, Thru the Eyes of Ruby etc.
  19. Stoked for Pink Maggit, hopefully it's on the way! Thanks for all of these tracks!
  20. Seconding post-rock. There are two Explosions in the Sky songs in the CDLC catalogue and one from Mogwai but that seems to be about it. Would be great to have a lot more from them, and from other great bands like Caspian, This Will Destroy You, Mono etc. The downloads on those tracks are really low though, which is disheartening. Ditto with the Smashing Pumpkins stuff, their best stuff by *far* are not the stuff out as official DLC.
