  1. Also, I think this does it automatically for you (add sections) http://customsforge.com/topic/15687-beats-phrases-resynchronizer/
  2. Great guide Gryphonboy  I have no inclination to stream, but thought that such a great, well typed, guide should have at least one response. If I ever feel the need to stream, this will be thr first place I check :D I would like to see this in the Tutorials sections though, I don't think that there is a tutorial on streaming yet...
  3. I worked out how to get what I want. Time signatures made little difference in the end. I thought there was a setting I could turn off/on. Thanks anyway man :D
  4. I do have a quick question now though... How do I stop EoF (1-27-2016) laying beat anchors at timing changes e.g. 12/8 to 4/4? I know it's been described before but I can't find it. Encourage my laziness :D
  5. I too can confirm the triplet stuff (whatever you did) works fantastic now. I've been working on a song on and off for a few weeks, got the Rhythm and Bass fixed up manually (same problems as @@albatross213 described) but have been scared to near lead as it was looking like the headache from hell fixing it all up. But now, just imported again using 1-27-2016 and it all laid out perfectly (timing at least). So thanks albatross and thanks raynebc. Happy Plum :D
  6. 3/5 would just be a suggestion, and it really depends on the song. Have a listen and a play around, and test some stuff in game. You'll get there. And you are welcome for Sweet Child, it is a great tune to play :D
  7. After watching some vids back, it's something that includes a muted E after an open E "type" chord that causes unnecessary sustain (anything with chord sustain up to the next note should not be there, I always leave at least a small gap). http://customsforge.com/topic/23174-elevation-live/ That's even a 3rd opinion (random YouTube vid). I dunno if you read the bottom of page 75? Thanks :D
  8. Doing things by hand in EoF is my favorite part :D It's where artistic interpretation comes in, everything else is programmable and repetitive imo... Except tones, that too is art :D
  9. Oops, sorry :( Yeah, its pretty clear :D Edit - its also possible that he is using an old toolkit which has not been upgraded to account for capitalized profile names.
  10. He may also be using the "Add" button in the tones section, which is for saved tone XML files. "Import" is the correct button to use for extracting tones from .psarc and/or profiles. Also, he could be using the wrong .prflb file. Usually, there is more than one in your profile folder, especially if you use more than one profile. The correct .prflb is usually the largest one (biggest KB).
  11. It has been discussed in the EoF thread before and the conclusion is that the current way to import is the most practical. There are too many parameters to account for i.e. 2 fret slides are not always the best option musically. Sometimes, during guitar solos, far more than 2 frets are required for the appropriate effect. It is best to leave it up to the charter to decide how to interpret them for the Rocksmith chart in question. Plus, once you learn some EoF keyboard shortcuts and selection tricks (Shift+L) it's quite easy and fast to change a lot of the chart to your liking. It really depends on the context of the chart/tabs you are working on.
  12. You could have a play of this to see what I did http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/sister-morphine-r8997 I was thinking of making No Expectations but never got around to it. If its the same as the GP tab I have then it looks real nice, but to make it nice in RS is a lot of work. You have been doing well with your Rolling Stones CDLCs so keep at it man and go for it. Remember it does not have to be perfect, and you can always come back later and update the custom. You cannot learn all skills straight away, keep making customs and you pick up tricks here and there. What I would look out for as a priority, though, are the slides in GP files /7 7\ EoF will import these as 6u7 (u means unpitched slide) 7u6 I would manually change them in EoF to 5/7 7u5 two fret differences usually make more sense when actually playing the guitar than 1 fret slides.
  13. I reckon Ubi can do what they want (turn the names on or off at will), and regularly try different things out. I think that they are on a journey like us. I think the way in the vid is better and chord names there would only add confusion. On another matter, I was wondering if you could have a look at something? I had a "sustain bug" before in a U2 custom, many EOFs ago. It would draw in game a chord sustain (chord handshape) up to the next note, even when there is no susstain in EoF. I found a very similar situation with what seems like the same setup, E chord onto a muted open E. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KybjJ5RnVqdjNfdzA/view?usp=sharing I've left notes in there. If you need any other files or more info just ask. If you find some time, thanks man :D
  14. I was being happy man, "tryer" is good :D You must make mistakes to learn. A lot of people give up but you keep trying. Keep going :D And yes, picture is not good. Make picture from end of EoF?
  15. I wouldn't go using Ctrl+X too often, that's the destructive "set fret to 0 and make it a mute" version. I think you want Shift+X to retain the fret value. And Shrillbear, you are a tryer :D I can't understand half of your problems because I don't know if its a problem with the software, your English or you... it's usually you
  16. Keep at it man, it gets easier :D
  17. Go to "Configuration" tab in toolkit and tell it where Wwise is.
  18. I've never noticed any FHP issues before, and maybe I was hyper sensitive cause its one of the phrases I could actually pick out from the last few pages. I watched a few old vids at work today and I say FHP does not need much attention. I am even sorry for highlighting what I did, like I say I was overly sensitive because I don't really understand all this chord handhshape stuff. There has been consistency for 2+ years with regards to the main aspects of FHP, it needs changed not now Everyone is used to it. Don't mess with it too much man :D
  19. v2 was hell on earth. V3 got fixed by using (even a .eof save created by 1-21-2016) 1-16-2016 to load the project and re-save the XMLs manually. FHP bug... :D
  20. 1-21-2016 is visually extremely different from 1-16-2016. The clause you introduced effects everything https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyOFpmeGhaVjNIdTg/view?usp=sharing There are notes outside FHP from the outset. I don't think that was the intended action? I loved the way it did it before, and would have been happy to manually create a few bars of FHP. If it's easier go back to the old way, but I can feel the momentum already...
  21. Hopefully this makes it clearer https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyVnNvUXMzbVotcTg/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyRTFFTWJoZVBfZ3M/view?usp=sharing it's a basic repeated double stop which I presume should have the same FHP (where the box is positioned on the highway), but it jumps 2 frets to the left. To be clear though, it does this through the entire section (and another part of the song where an identical theme appears), it cannot be anything to do with it beginning a new section. I suppose my next step would be to save the project using an old EoF to see if the repeat box comes out on the same fret position. I'm pretty sure they used to, and somewhere in the recent EoF updates were FHP generation changes. I did nothing, as always, to any FHP manually. I always just use auto EoF when saving. It did strike me as odd the first time I played it, I had to kind of look twice to see what to do. I'm pretty sure there has been a change in behaviour, but I will double check tonight.
  22. Regarding the op, there is a possibility that the tabs are mince. A lot of GP files are authored with "fill in" bass i.e. just something to give foundation to the guitar parts, and is not accurate to the recording. Does it play fine in GP, and sound like the real bassline?
  23. I am lost with all the changes, and I just want to check if this is expected https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KybENJR0diT1MzeDg/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyVHhVWm9ibmw1VEE/view?usp=sharing the D5 slides up to the E5 then there is an E5 repeat. The FHP changes in the repeat of the E5 from the original E5. I would have thought that the FHP would not change back until the next D5? If you want files I can give them, just want to check first. It's 1-16-2016. Thanks :D
  24. I did have a quick read and seen nothing of this. 1-16-2016, hammer ons now say "hS" instead of just "h"? - Create a note - Hit h to turn it into a hammer on - Red letter now says "hS" - When turning it on/off with h, the S sticks with the h i.e. comes and goes with the h - Pull offs only have a "p" still DId I miss something? Cheers :D
