  1. I'd say Not Ready To Die by Avenged Sevenfold, not because I like the song, instead it'd be for the irony.
  2. Well, I wouldn't mind helping with a Spanish translation since it's my native language, let me know if you're interested.
  3. I actually use GP for tabbing the song from the ASCII, since I prefer to work using GP rather than EOF. I might seem a drag, but since most songs repeat riffs and use similar structures, once you figure out the patterns the Copy/Paste function comes in very handy.
  4. http://www.guitarfail.com/enough-strings-is-enough/ ---> WTF?!
  5. Man, looking back, a year ago I remember struggling to play For Whom The Bell Tolls, I was that bad, and just yesterday, about a year later, I managed to get 98% on One by Metallica. I really mean to say thanks all to all the amazing people who have been part of this project, providing us with a mean to practice songs in a different way, and finally helping me (and I'm sure a lot of people too) to play songs that I could only hope to air guitar before. TL;DR -> Thanks, you are all awesome.
  6. @@firekorn I get what you mean, specially since a system like this would depend a lot on subjectivity from the charter, but hey, it can't be any more of a mess than what we have right now, which is clicking random songs in hope that we stumble upon one that catches our eyes. Actually that page you found provides quite a good sorted list of genres that could be implemented initially, and if there are any considerable genres missing then it could be open to discussion if it needs to be added. I don't mean to tag the bands, but instead the songs, since a lot of bands experiment with a lot of sounds, and as Izzy suggested multiple genre tags for each songs could narrow a more specific list. And if a multi-genre tag search could be implemented into the database, then it would work even better. And yeah, had a laugh with the Hendrix Metal xD, it's just as I said, just googled a couple of images to provide a point.
  7. Pretty much what Aludog said, I found that playing with guitar volume at 100 and music at 80 gives the best balance between both sounds. If you want to have a muted instrument then search for Multitrack songs, there are plenty done here on the forge.
  8. Thanks a lot for the amazing tutorial, it really worked as it should and now I can finally play the song again. This should really be pinned in the tutorials section of the forum since I'm sure I saw someone asking this in the past, and you really explained it in the most detailed way possible, I thank you for that. And yeah the tuning might be a little off, but when I sing and play a song in E standard I generally downtune to Eb since my voice is not so high pitched, so I'm kinda used to the difference.
  9. The title says it all. My situation is this, I have some songs that I'd like to play but I won't go through the bother of tunning for a couple of songs, for example, I bought the Aerosmith pack and it's been forever since the last time I played Dream On (Damn A444). I know the answer to this questions is most likely a no, but the only thing I loose by asking is the time it took me to write this, so thanks for any reply.
  10. @@firekorn For example, these 2 Pictures provide a list of genres of both Rock and Metal (I own none, just picked 2 from random Google Image search): Example 1: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hP8Rt9FJKes/T-kKuELpSSI/AAAAAAAABek/ISQABOho-jc/s1600/History-of-Rock-Chalkboard-16x10.jpeg Example 2: http://heavymetalboard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/image2-1378741184g4n8k.png Now, if we use that as some kind of guide there's got to be something we could do, and if someone feels like there's an important genre missing it could be discussed here, after all thats the purpose of the thread. I'm not against using a service like ask.fm for providing the genres, but since no developers has said any word about implementing such function I'm not that sure we can count on that. And as Izzy said in the post above, tagging a song with multiple genres should be of some help.
  11. I remember that deleting the accents and apostrophes from the lyrics did the trick for me in one of the songs that gave trouble. I'm not saying they are to blame since they seem to work almost always, but if you run into the error again you can try that.
  12. @@jmr The program used to chart the song pretty much does all the necessary conversions, so as long as a mp3 file is available we can do the rest. That and yeah I just checked the message, thanks a lot, I'll begin on it as soon as I can. Finally, here's today's promised, The Second One.
  13. @@streifig Sure, it'd be awesome to play too, and if you can have it ready sooner then it'll be better to start with it instead.
  14. @@zerkz User JazzD has an updated thread in the workshop (http://customsforge.com/topic/15498-magfest-artists-cdlcs-project/) where a group of us (as I'm writing this contributions have come from users UKLooney, pollo_28, JazzD, Xstatic, Dudeman and me) have been submitting songs from the bands that will be performing there, with links to the threads. It should be something interesting for the people attending there to attempt to play a song that they just saw live don't you think?. Also any user who also wants to help feel free to join, hope this post brings some attention to the thread.
  15. @@jmr I could use anything you could give me to start with while the lead guitar tabs are being on, maybe I could try tabbing the chiptune parts to a rhythm guitar or a bass, it'd be fun to experiment in order to get a fun arrangement to play, after all, the possibilities with Rocksmith are quite endless. @@streifig You can take as long as you may need, after all, it'll be faster and more accurate if the guitar player himself is the one tabbing it instead of me as a listener, and as I said as few posts back, even if we don't make the deadline, we still could play the songs later. By the way, loving the transitions and atmosphere of Nothing Can Be Fixed, keep on ChipRocking guys!.
  16. @@jmr Hey I was checking your soundcloud page, and your song "Papercut You Into Little Pieces" is REALLY awesome, is there any chance you could share how to play this one as well?, I'd be more than glad to chart it so we could play it here. Also, the stems mix would be useful if we were to make a multitrack version (For example a version without the lead guitar so there's more immersion when playing), but as long as we get an audio file, everything's good. In the meantime, I'll try tabbing The Second One by Machinae.
  17. @@jmr Guitar pro Files would be the ideal since it would be the faster way for us to finish, also I know you can import MIDI files to guitar pro (Never tried it, so don't take my word for it) so that could work. But anything you share here would bee used, I mean, even if we don't make it to the deadline (By the way, when's the deadline? xD), we could chart them sometime in the future (And let me tell you, that Hot Pursuit/DKC3 song is awesome, I'd really like to chart it so I can play it too sometime). @@JazzD Thanks a lot for the link, I'll see what I can salvage from that thread and make it to a project sometime. And Lastly, Force FeedBack Is Ready http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/force-feedback-r11143
  18. Well, I'm making Force feedback by Machinae, wanted to do some from the other artists/bands (Like that awesome Goldeneye medley by On Being Human) but failed to find any proper tabs (Or in most cases any tabs at all -.-). Has anyone had luck finding tabs for the rest that have nothing yet?.
  19. Don't worry, we are all naturally idiots. Profile files are stored on either: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR_USER_ID\205190\remoteor C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR_USER_ID\221680\remote(Some guys online say it's the one above, mine was on the location below, see which one works for you) In that location is the profile local file (named xxx_prfldb with xxx being random) that you can use to import the tones to the toolkit, just remember to change the format (In the explorer window when importing on the toolkit) to Xbox360 so it gets detected. You don't get XML files like when you export a tone from the toolkit, instead the profile is what's used to import the tones. Also, you don't really need to assign them to a pedal number, as long as you save them it should be fine.
  20. Nova Prospekt by Machinae Supremacy ready ->http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/nova-prospekt-r11114
  21. Yeah, that's pretty much the purpose of this thread, to avoid making the same song twice. By the way, made a small update to my Beyond Good and Evil, now with a proper 8-Bit tone (If anyone's interested I could share it), and now I'm working on Indiscriminate Murder is Counter Productive, also by Machinae. After that, I could check the other artists/bands work, to have some variety. Edit: Scratch that, the tabs are a REAL mess, and I rather do another (Nova Prospekt), than spending 2-3 days fixing a tab in 6:4.
  22. Nice job charting it, since the timing seems perfect (or close to) to me. See if you like these tones for the lead: 1-http://www.dropbox.com/s/gznfjl7lhhsviy5/Filter.tone2014.xml?dl=0 (For the part with the muted strings 2-http://www.dropbox.com/s/dnfnfw2vboydjdl/Solo.tone2014.xml?dl=0 (For the solo and the ending bit) Of course, adjust the volume of them if needed.
  23. As promised, here it is, beyond good and evil by machinae supremacy http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/beyond-good-and-evil-r11094 Please let me know if I can improve something.
  24. Well, sign me in. I'm gonna work on Beyond Good and Evil by Machinae Supremacy, so if nothing goes wrong I'll have it ready later today.
  25. 1- As long as you keep the audio file generated in Wwise, you can use it as many times as you want, just edit the song in EOF and repackage the new tracks with the old audio. 2- What I do with the tones is this, I save the tones on my profile (So they are listed when I hit load a custom tone in game), then in the toolkit there's the option to import tones (Lower right of the GUI), and in the explorer window change the format (Yet again in the lower right) from Rocksmith 2014 PC to xbox360 (Don't ask me why), now you can go to where your RS profile is saved and you can load it (It's the file with the random string of characters, not the localprofiles), if you have many tones then a window will pop up asking which tones to import, if not, then they are all imported. Oh and after that you can save the tones to a XML, in case you want to keep another copy of them. If you have any further questions (Or my grammar turns out to be an undecipherable piece of sh*t) feel free to ask, after all, more users means more songs for us to play.
