  1. Hi, Am I the only one to notice that the bass does not correspond to what is being played in La Bamba? According to the DLC, only Cs and Gs are played at the beginning however I hear a much more melodic bass line. L
  2. Thanks, I asked for it on the thread. L
  3. Hi, Does anyone have a fixed copy of "Mr. Big" by Free? In the beginning, there are some notes that are not correct. If noone has it, maybe I'll try to fix it and resubmit. Thanks, L
  4. Hi, I a CDLC has been removed, is it bad form to request it again? I have one locally, and I'm looking for an update and it's not there anymore. I remember someone in the comments saying they had corrected it. I know it hasn't been provided (yet!) by Ubi. So when a CDLC disappears from the library, are we allowed to make a request for someone to bring it back? L
  5. Hmmm, I'm sure I published an answer saying I had found the problem, and that it installed. I'm not sure what happened to it. :/ L
  6. Hmm, I'm trying to install the newest release (1.4.6.3) and I can't get past the screen that asks to remove the old version. I first tried to remove it using the tool, and it failed. So I removed the old version manually but it still tries to find a tmp/unisntall.exe (or similar) file. What are my options? L
  7. Really? So it changes the pitch of the song and everything? Damn! That would be great for all my Stevie Ray songs! L
  8. Never mind, I found out two things: 1) I don't have the latest version. Duh. 2) There is a way to add different columns to the results grid. I'll update and see if I am able to do what i want. L
  9. i would like to second this suggestion. That is, can we see the tuning on the first page instead of having to open each CDLC? I *think* there is a way to get the same thing from the setlist page, but I'm not sure. I have to clean up my duplicates to see. My goal, is to see all of the songs I have in a particular tuning, and enable/disable them. Thanks, L
  10. Added "En Guantanamo" L
  11. 99.07 on Arctic Monkeys Bass. If I manage to reach 100%, I'll try Django. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kMsFIzHbLGzN4hz1Xb_MGEjALfXWOzq5/view?usp=sharing L
  12. Here is what I mean. I refingered the chart, and on my first pass I had 98.86. Yes, I know that I played it a number of times last week and I should be better, but I also know that the places where I changed the fingering are easier to play because what I see on the screen is what I have to play on the bass. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TOtctkD0KDcA-DYVKPFTCpn8-NAIybj1/view?usp=sharing This is what I'm working with. Note that this is just a quick export of the GP5. Playing it, I realize that the note durations affect the final score (but normally, not the number of correct notes). You can take a look at this and see what I find easier to play. https://drive.google.com/file/d/19j6nLRz5ymutwHI0iyJy0JDN4GNOmzIq/view?usp=sharing L Note to the mods: I don't expect this to be my official score for the challenge since the tab is not close enough to the original.
  13. Yes. The jump from A3, D3, G5 to G10 when you can do E8, A8, D10 to G10. There are a few other (to me) nonsensical fingerings that I would adjust if I were allowed to do so (open strings when a 5th fret would be easier, for example). It doesn't change anything to the note that is played, but make the chart easier to play. To be honest, I could have just recharted it and not said anything, but that's not my style. :) L
  14. Ok, so my question on the thread for week 250 is *really* pertinent. Can I rechart Europa and use it this week? L
  15. Yes that's what I mean. But seeing G10 and playing D5 is hard. Am I allowed to change the notes in Guitar Pro, repackage the fire and play that instead of the version that's on CF? L
  16. 97.72 on Europa bass. Not bad considering I'm playing differently than what is shown on screen: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IWFHLnAPHnmCNAgTwEaNI-NP9G0EaMzH/view?usp=sharing As an aside, in the future, is it legal to redo the fingering and use that to do the challenge? I'm assuming I would have to post my modified version. L
  17. Well, I was about complain about the fingering on Europa on bass but I see a couple of people have 100% so, I guess I'll have to bite it and try again. *Sigh* L
  18. Been a while! So here is my advanced bass: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t2nQCeL7AJxHibiKXoYkKY90Szpxij5l/view?usp=sharing L
  19. @@Fedro This shows how to sync the beat map: http://customsforge.com/index.php/topic/22655-syncing-your-beat-map-with-editor-on-fire-eof I saw this also, but I have never tried it: http://customsforge.com/index.php/topic/2393-how-to-get-beat-map I use Go Play Along (https://goplayalong.com) which I find a bit easier than EOF, but it's commercial software. I will try Sonic Visualiser to compare. L
  20. And it also depends on wheter you are charting the track yourself or whether you are using an existing tab, the latter help a lot, but is not always correct. When starting from scratch, most of the time is spent transcribing the notes, whereas if you have an existing tab, you are mainly working on synchonizing the notes with the music, and maybe a few corrections. I've done both and with an existing tab, I can get a working version in a couple of hours (enough to make it usable by me, but maybe not enough to publish it). Starting from scratch, though, I've had songs where I have put way more than 10 hours and I'm not done yet... L
  21. Thanks for the recommendation and the review. I'll (re?)read that link and work on the fingering. Thanks! L
  22. And I forgot to mention that it's bass oly. L
  23. Hmmm.. Thanks for letting me know. Does this one work? https://drive.google.com/file/d/14OLki80f0637EbqpuQoT4WcxLShX8ZE-/view?usp=sharing L
  24. Hi, Is someone willing to review my CDLC and let me know your thoughts? In particular, I find it quite hard to play and I'm wondering if it's because of my charting or because, well, it's just hard. When I listen to the bass it doesn't seem hard but when it comes time to play... It's here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=14OLki80f0637EbqpuQoT4WcxLShX8ZE- Thanks! L
