  1. Hey guys, Been enjoying my stay here and enjoying all the great customs, however I've reached a point where I want to tackle my own. I have watched the tutorials by Squid and PC Plum, and read the tutorial on how to create cdlcs by Darjusz. I have EOF, the RStoolkit, and have been using tablature and guitar pro for years. So.. I started with some very basic songs, set EOF up exactly as told with most recent hotfix, imported song, double and triple checked BPM including the second method that Squid uses via. Songbpm.com I imported tabs ~ trying Modest Mouse's 'Dramamine' bass line and the Arcade Fire's 'Rebellion (Lies)' bass line for practice. I can not get the notes to sync with the music. I have used the bpm as said on the tab file. It all seems extremely out of sync. What am I doing wrong? Also, I registered for Wwise and it keeps saying it can't finish installing. ?? Any tips, experience with this, links, etc. would be helpful. I don't want to give up before I've even begun. :( ~lilstrats.
  2. This one is cool by GetTheLedOut, will teach you a basic blues progression: 'Ramblin on my Mind' John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/ramblin-on-my-mind-r1483 Also , check out richomat's stuff ^ Got some solid blues here. http://search.customsforge.com/?u=richomat Although, I will admit we need some Buddy Guy. Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones use a lot of blues as well. I like some modern blues rock too like the Black Keys, Jonny Lang and Gary Clark Jr. Good Luck!
  3. Blitzkrieg Bop - Ramones American Idiot- Green Day London Calling- The Clash Tropical London - Rancid (Good CDLC on this site) Starting with punk will get that right hand going quickly, will break you into very simple solos easily and will vet you on powerchords and how to move about them quickly. When you're confident then move on to harder stuff, Rammstein, AC/DC, a few Metallica (Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets) and Black Sabbath (Paranoid, Iron Man) Riffs are pretty simple....(solos not so easy) But riff repeat them... Once you have confidence try for some harder stuff, Iron Maiden solos and the like...
  4. Not gonna lie, they look pretty cool and I could play in the dark...
  5. Hey guys, I have searched the forums for this topic and haven't found anything. So I want to play some of the amazing metal customs that you've all worked so hard to create. However, some songs require a very low tuning (B standard) like Amon Amarth , (B drop A) like Slipknot for instance. I would like to put some heavy gauge strings on my guitar. I have another guitar I'm willing to do this with. My question is, do I have to raise the action on this guitar to tune so low, even with heavy gauge strings? What gauge would you use? What advice can you give? Thank you so much!
  6. How would you recommend to clean them? Do you use a certain product? Just a soft cloth?
  7. I am with you. I also consider myself a beginner and find it really helpful to have DD. The straight line at the top makes me uncomfortable.
