@@masaru 'is it possible to switch custom song tones one with another? choosing from a list as you do for amps, or pedals? Yes it is possible, but you will need to use the toolkit to do that. Suggest you search CF for 'Change Tone' etc, or you can google it.

Rocksmith Tools Launcher is compatible with macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and below ... STOP - DO NOT UPGRADE to macOS 10.15 (Catalina), yet - looking for compatibility testers ... There's a new application for Mac users named Rocksmith Tools Launcher. The application includes and launches the Mac Wineskin ported versions of: CustomsForge Song Manager (CFSM) Custom Song Creator for Rocksmith (Rocksmith Toolkit), aka 'the toolkit' Custom Game Toolkit (CGT) You can download RocksmithTools.dmg here. Or Here. After the download completes, double click on the RocksmithTools.dmg to mount the image. (For Download Error Workaround ... LOOK HERE) The mounted image will look something like this: Drag and drop the Rocksmith Tools Launcher icon onto the Applications shortcut icon to install the application. Easter Egg: Drag the horizontal slider to the right to view the ReadMe.txt file. Eject the RocksmithTools image. Open the Lauchpad app, or Applications folder and double click the Rocksmith Tools Launcher icon to start the application. WAIT PATIENTLY for the application to start up (maybe a couple of minutes the first run so get some coffee). Note: Rocksmith Tools Launcher for Mac is a replacement application for the individual Mac Wineskin ports of these tools. The new app takes less disk space than the combined individual tools did. Thanks goes to I)ark_Seph for his past Mac support of the individual tools. How to use CDLC on Rocksmith 2014 Remastered Mac Version (click me) Be sure to read and understand Steps 7 and 8.

Problem opening RScustomtoolkit
cozy1 replied to JerryCantrell's topic in Rocksmith Custom Tool Kit (ARCHIVE)
@r0tTw3iL3r To clarify ... there are two toolkit ports for the Mac, a Mono version (for expert Mac users), and a Wineskin version (for most Mac users). The version you reference is an old Wineskin version of the toolkit that does not require a separate installation of Mono. The Wineskin version was released because many users had trouble getting the Mono version to run. The newest Wineskin version can be found here. Some users like @@JerryCantrell seem to still have luck with the Mono version. I would still like here from @@JerryCantrell which toolkit version and mono version that he was able to run together. I need the complete full version number of each app to help with future development. -

Custom Game Toolkit INLAY not working
cozy1 replied to lokariototal's topic in Rocksmith Custom Tool Kit (ARCHIVE)
Sounds like you may have mixed up the 18 and 24 fret notes inlays. Make sure the 24 fret notes inlay checkbox is selected appropriately in CGT before generating the inlay. It should be checked only when you are using 24 note inlay artwork. It may also be because of the inlay 'dead zones'. You can read more here about the inlay dead zones. While you are at it, get the latest version of CGT. It is more user friendly. -
@Unleashed2k Need you to update the webpage links as requested in discord DM.

@RedLionhead Thanks for reporting the bug. A quick fix for now is to exclude the 'PackageRating' column from the JSON export. I perma fixed in the next build and you will still be able to include the 'PackageRating'.

@@Chinolofus So I used your 'overwrite' workflow and could not reproduce the error on my machine. Please check that you have full read/write access to both the folder and file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc\cdlc\acdc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_DD_p.psarc' Look here for how to check if you have admin privileges (required) and that you have AV white listed the toolkit and support files (required). This is especially important since you are running on Win10. Let me know if you figure out the fix.
-
@Chinolofus I used the latest version of the toolkit DDC tab menu to add DD to 'acdc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_p.psarc' and the toolkit produced the expected DD file 'acdc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_DD_p.psarc'. I am unable to reproduce the error. Please provide the complete details of your workflow that produce the error.

@@Milo6485 Odd, that version works for me. I got the same error message you got only if I try to run the application from inside the disk image. @@st0nedunkn0wn Give CGT a try. Once you have CGT installed and running ... go to >Game Saves>Transfer. Click the Help button to get directions.

@Chinolofus Did you confirm file exists? Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014\dlc\cdlc\acdc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_DD_p.psarc'. Make sure it is named 'acdc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_DD_p.psarc' and not 'ac/dc_dog-eat-dog_v1_0_DD_p.psarc'. That slash in AC/DC is often a valid filename killer.

@Milo6485 Did you ever figure it how to correct the issue you were having? Think I did. You can not run the Mac Wine version from a Mac disk image file. The disk image is read only. You must drag the application icon to your Desktop or Application folder and run the app from there. Let me know if this works and I will tell you more.

Error occurred while creating CDLC, please help!
cozy1 replied to waki's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Good news waki-waki. You smell familiar. A legacy version of Wwise is available here for all to enjoy. You should also read this about Admin privileges and AV white listing if you are a Win10 user. We don't need no stink'n update. -
@Fenrisulfr CFSM>Settings>Validate D3DX9_42.dll (check it) Shutdown/Restart CFSM. CFSM will validate the dll installation and install it if you don't have it or if the wrong dll is installed CFSM will fix it. My Documents>CFSM>debug.log (Copy/paste the debug.log file text here to this thread) Once the D3DX9_42.dll file is properly installed to the Rocksmith root directory by CFSM, and if you own dlc Cherub Rock (like you should) then you will see the CDLC in the game.

cozy1 replied to gwbuiter's question in Rocksmith Remastered
@gwbuiter Did you ever resolve the Wwise issue? If not, then you can try to install the 2013 version of Wwise and these C++ redistributables. If you still can not install Wwise then read these links about checking admin status and AV whitelisting. -

@masaru Your welcome. "could someone point me to a tutorial?" CFSM has a genereal help (tutorial) button (see top tool strip) and then each of the features have additional help buttons (see feature menu strip) and tooltip popups. You just need to try exploring CFSM on your own a little. You can always look here and search for anything you are having trouble with. Look here for help with repairs. "where is the cdlc back up folder?" >My Documents>CFSM>Backups, Quarantine, or Remastered folders. Open the >My Documents>debug.log file in any text editor. The log file will also tell you about why certain files where quarantined or any errors. "can i change the volume of the songs?" Yes. CFSM>Song Manager>pick a song and Select the checkbox>Right Click>Edit Song Information>Song Editor>Song Info tab (change the song volume)>Save>Exit "the tones?" Yes. CFSM>Song Manager>pick a song and Select the checkbox>Right Click>Edit Song Information>Song Editor>Tones tab>(select the tone to change)>ToneEditor>(change the tone info)>OK>Save>Exit "why Win10 doesn't see me as the administrator for this app?" Because your are not a real admin and/or your AV does not like the app. Have a look here for how to check your admin status, and how to whitelist the app correctly in your AV.
