  1. As of right now, there's no way to actually generate customs on Mac. You can get through the EoF process, but the Toolkit is incapable of packaging the custom. You need a Windows PC for that.
  2. You can't demagnetize a pickup with a screwdriver. A magnetic screwdriver can barely hold on to a tiny little screw. It won't have any effect on a pickup.
  3. It's not an upgrade. In fact, version 2.4 is incredibly old. It's a problem with the Toolkit itself. Read through the 2nd post in this thread: http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/ Make sure you uninstall any previous versions of Mono that you have installed and then install the correct version you need for your version of OS X. Then at the bottom of that post there is a version of the Toolkit that I modified to work.
  4. I haven't been able to test one in a while, I always get a "can't connect to the server" error when trying to download any of the new builds.
  5. It's a problem with all the new builds of the Toolkit. Because Mono is installed in a different directory on El Capitan, the Toolkit can't find it. I've posted a modified version of an older Toolkit that works in this thread (2nd post on the first page): http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/ Make sure you have the El Capitan compatible version of Mono installed as well (also in that post). You'll need to uninstall any previous versions you have first.
  6. No. There's really no way to separate them in game. You can use the in-game sorting to group all of the customs together, but they'll get grouped with any other dlc that you have since the game thinks they are dlc.
  7. Just put them in subfolders. For instance, inside my dlc folder I have a folder named "official", and a folder name "customs". Then, inside each of those folders I have more subfolders for specific artists.
  8. There are tons of tutorials in the Help & Support section, under the Tutorials sub-forum: http://customsforge.com/forum/78-tutorials/ However, you'll need a Windows PC (or bootcamp your Mac) in order to create any customs. They can't be authored on Mac.
  9. That's the problem. They both need to be in the default location, which is on your main hard drive. You'll have to find a way to make room for it.
  10. The RSInjector linked in my instructions is the only version that exists. Did you make sure Steam was open and running before launching RSInjector? And did you make sure you installed Steam and RS2014 in the default location?
  11. You can rename the files yourself to anything you want, so long as it ends in "_p.psarc" (or "_m.psarc" for Mac files)
  12. You must have missed something, or are trying to use PC customs and not Mac versions. Review the steps again and make sure you're doing everything correctly.
  13. Yeah, I missed out on the tri-coloured vinyl, but I pre-ordered the bundle that comes with the hat and shirt. They're playing in Toronto on July 6th too so hopefully I can score some tickets next week when they go on sale.
  14. Happy Birthday, from your pesky neighbour to the north! It must feel great to be "--" years old. I hear that's a real special milestone :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
  15. I would be careful buying anything from gray market sites like Kinguin. http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/9/8006693/the-truth-behind-those-mysteriously-cheap-gray-market-game-codes
  16. The only way you can get it is to buy the original RS. Steam has a policy of not letting users buy DLC for games they don't own, and haven't been able to sort this out for all of the original RS dlc. This has been a problem since RS2014 came out. You can buy some of the original dlc without owning RS1, but not much of it. Your best bet is to wait until RS1 goes on sale. Steam will be having a Spring sale in a few months (likely mid-March). If you add the game to your Steam Wishlist you should get a notification when it goes on sale.
  17. Thanks for suggesting that tool, but it won't run either. It's not a big deal though. I tend to download and add customs a few at a time so that when I run into problems it's easy to figure out which custom is the culprit.
  18. I always forget about the CGT, since it doesn't work on Mac. It's too bad too, because it would be a handy tool to have.
  19. It's likely a conflict with another song. Try removing all of your customs except those two and see if they work then. If they work, then you've got another custom (or several) that are causing a conflict. Add your customs back in small batches until you find the one(s) causing the problem.
  20. How many of the dlc in the compatibility pack do you own? Maybe it has something to do with that....
  21. There are 49 tutorials on this site (in the "Tutorial" section of "Help & Support") that cover everything from how to use customs to the various methods of making them. http://customsforge.com/forum/78-tutorials/
  22. I'm not in Europe, so I'll take my $5 as well. Also, I am both a Mac and PC user. And as far as the internet is concerned, there is no difference between the two operating systems. Operating system and file structure have no impact on the internet. Your browser is simply compiling the HTML code it receives from the server. In fact, most sites are hosted on UNIX based servers. (Mac is built on UNIX, fyi. Windows is NT based.) The problem is with you and your ISP, and/or your router. Browser, OS, and MediaFire are not the problem. And location has nothing to do with it either, unless you live in China (which is well-known for censoring the internet).
  23. Comcast is well known for blocking sites, especially filesharing sites. Might be time to look into changing providers.
  24. Is it a legit version purchased through Steam? If so, try reinstalling, or verifying the integrity of the files. To verify the integrity of the files: - Open Steam - Click on "Library" - Right-Click on Rocksmith 2014 and select "Properties" - Click on the "Local Files" tab - Click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" That will force Steam to verify that all files relating to RS2014 downloaded and installed properly.
  25. Can you verify that it works then please? A few other people have tried and said it didn't actually work in game. If it does work, that's great :)
