My Amazon purchase history leads me to believe I'm using: "D'Addario EPS230 XL ProSteels Heavy (.055, .75, .90, .110) Electric Bass Guitar Strings", but they could be Rotosounds, so I'll check when I get home tonight. EDIT: They are the D'Addarios.

Are you on PC or Mac? You may have a conflict between it and another song. I'd remove all the other CDLC from your folder and try it again with just Cherub Rock and Buffalo Soldier in there.

I'm managing the bends just fine on my heavy gauge strings. It's just the rest of the song I'm struggling with. :lol:

What are you trying to do? If you're trying to run the Toolkit rather than CDLC on Rocksmith, you'd be better off asking in the Toolkit thread. IIRC, you have to have Mono installed to run the Toolkit.

You will need to jailbreak your PS3. You won't find instructions and you'll be unlikely to find advice for that here, simply because the majority of people use a PC or Mac because it's easier. There are instructions to jailbreak your PS3 elsewhere online though. The good news however, is that your PS3 Realtone cable will work on PC or Mac, and Rocksmith is generally available on Steam for £10-15.

You're welcome :) It's very possible to just keep all the notes rolling and just slow it down but in this instance of me being very new to slapping I needed to dumb it down and worked my way up to get the technique down. I can do the basic sections, slapped open E and the popped C, it's when the slaps change to the A string that I start fluffing up, my thumb just doesn't want to shift down and hit 1 string, I just end up thumping all four and making brow noise. :huh: Yep, me too. I think it's 'cos I sit with my bass on on left thigh. My right hand just doesn't seem to be in the right position to slap anything other than the E string. I'm down with the pops, mostly. :lol:

I hang my head in shame. But at least I'm not playing it with a pick.

I still can't play slap bass. If everyone else persists in 100%, I may post my 95% score, as long as it doesn't get me any points, just to stay in the MC championship.
