Is this just a modern day "You done me wrong" song? Seems very similar to Olivia Rodrigo. Tried this one for a warmup I thought this one was the hardest one on bass this week. I think I would rate it an 8. That first part took a few restarts to get. I don't know if I want to know what this song is about, but it is fun to play.

Been hitting them pretty hard this week I feel like I could post a monster score if I could just get it all to come together. This one is just so fun to play So close to 100% I'm enjoying this one so much I'm wading into the masterclass waters

@ Rodman thank you for the kind words. It has been an odd year. I feel like I was less focused, but seemed to improve more. I'm really hitting the music theory hard and am hoping to play around with song structure and creation more. Of course with all of that I still keep coming back to the championships. You just can't beat it for new music and real practice on songs without them getting stale. I'm looking forward to another year battling you and @ Mikson , I feel like we push each other well!

Played everything in bass for the first time in a while

Is it me or does the Weezer rhythm track get slightly off time somewhere in the middle?

only a few passes this week. Biffy Clyro is always a workout. Too fun! My proper bass is in use by my son, so had to emulate it. I'll have to try it when my wayward bass returns next week after the concert.

Not much work this week. So much for posting early.

That is about where I am. I play it more like single notes. I want to just bar the first fret, but there is that open D note, so you can't really do that. I am anchoring my second finger on the second fret of the orange string, and the others move to get the notes. I feel like most of my mistakes are picking rather than fingering. I wonder if fingerpicking would be better for this one. Really great score there, I don't know if I'm going to catch it!
