  1. Well t wasn't available on PC so I didn't really miss anything I guess. What were the central differences between that and Rocksmith? I can't imagine the tools could be much better than what we have on Rocksmith.
  2. Well, we really can't allow everybody to update a song, I can easily see a Wikipedia-like scenario where everyone who updates it is updating it with their own translation of the song. Pretty soon we'd all be downloading something quite different from the original "approved" version. I do agree that if the original creator is gone from SA and isn't here, someone should be able to do it in their stead.
  3. Its just occurred to me that I need all levels maxed. I'm probably out then, the first time I even heard this song was Sunday....
  4. Sorry man, I've literally only played like 5 songs in the whole game. The Trooper Come As You Are Roadhouse Blues Foolin' Aces High And I absolutely suck at all of 'em! :-|
  5. Wow. I got some work to do..... http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q195/strido527/ComeAsYouAre1_zps4e5ecd99.jpg
  6. As soon as I got off my duff and dove into Session Mode, I'm hooked. Some questions that I've had for months and months regarding scales, and more advanced playing styles were answered in the matter of one weekend. It's an amazing tool. Now if only my fingers could do what my brain tells them to....
  7. Pretty good for 1st playthrough! Have you played it outside Rocksmith before?
  8. Those chords in Come as you are... I'm having a hell of a time getting them to register.
  9. I just found a thread-zilla with 76 pages detailing session mode on the Ubi forums: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/809449-Getting-the-most-out-of-Session-Mode?s=48945d53ef9b915ac429edc5f2a356a2 Major league shout-out to lesslargemarge for putting that together. Looks like a great Youtube video by the guys that made it too: Timestamps on youtube of specific topics (Tempo Slew, Groove, etc...)
  10. How's that FRAPS work? I can't get it to record sound... Video looks great.
  11. Diving further into Session Mode, it's becoming more and more clear what's happening. The wavy lines are indicating whether you're playing a consonant note (noob translation: good!) or a dissonant note (not so much). Since I've been playing mostly session mode the last week, I've been going through more and more missions. I'm not sure the wavy lines are going to function until you get to that particular mission. Perhaps someone who hasn't made it that far can fill us in. Anyway, I'm on the D minor pentatonic way down on like the 12th fret, and every time I hit one of the notes, the lines are solid. If I hit the wrong note, they separate and you can immediately hear that it sounds bad. On a lark, I decided to move up and down the fretboard searching for notes elsewhere that would produce a solid line. I found some by the 3rd, 5th and 7th frets of the D string, some one the A and some on the low E. Next thing I know, the screen is still zoomed in, showing only the 12th - 16th frets for the scale, but I'm up on the 3rd - 7th frets on my guitar and it's still all solid. Basically, without much effort, I'm moving up and down the entire fretboard still in the same scale and it's sounding like music. Bottom line, if you're new - drop everything and go to session mode. Do the missions. It's becoming more and more obvious that this is a tool, not a game.
  12. Holy shitballs. I read on reddit about session mode - I was 1 more goggle search away from success and I guess I found it. How's your  lightbulb moment. I just spent the last 30 minutes in one long jam with the Psychedelic Rock band and it sounded like someone on the frickin radio. (Well, "ish") You get the point...Wasn't exactly Comfortably Numb, but there were absolutely times where it was just falling out of me effortless. I LOVE LIGHTBULB MOMENTS!!! If the person who wrote that, looks like "pigz" finds his way to this thread, thanks man.
  13. Like I'm dead after the song is over?Little Richard's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner from "Mystery, Alaska".
  14. Honestly - is it possible to create quality customs if you don't know how to play the song to begin with?
  15. Why are some notes in Session Mode filled in, while others are hollow? Are those filled-in notes suggestions on where to go next?
  16. Greatest drunk thing ever. Yesterday for the first time I saw "Drunk History". For those unfamiliar, they get someone absolutely blasted, and then film them discussing a historical topic. (Al Capone, Billy the Kid, the Gold Rush, etc..etc..etc) Then they show the typical reenactment you'd come to expect from the History Channel, only the actors are mouthing the words that the shitfaced narrator are saying. The actors in the reenactment part are typically well-known. Jack Black, The Wilsons (Played the Kellogg brothers) Tina Fey, etc. I'd go to youtube and search for drunk history Lincoln Assassination. It gets better as YOU drink, too.
  17. My IE works fine - IE 10. Try running this in compatibility mode, that may work if you're using IE 11. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10-win-7
  18. Learn a song - 70% Guitarcade - 20% Lessons - 10% (I think a change is coming, but that's pretty much it for now) ...and the change: Learn a song 30% Session Mode 60% Lessons 10%
  19. I think it sucks. Could be my cheap $300 guitar, but after about 5 minutes of use the post is far too loose for the tremolo arm to be of any real use.
  20. Have you ever tried learning a song, only to find out halfway through you're just basically playing air guitar with an actual guitar and ignoring the note highway? Yea, me too.
  21. There is no Dark Side of the Moon. As a matter of fact, it's all dark.
  22. Queensryche, the song that got me into them was "Take Hold of the Flame" taken from their Live in Tokyo video
