  1. Apparently you can just rename the audio device to "Rocksmith USB Adapter" and set it to 48khz to have it work on mac. https://www.reddit.com/r/rocksmith/comments/5uwunl/so_i_just_made_rocksmith_work_without_the/
  2. Use the duplicates tab in cfsm, it'll find them for you automatically. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CFSM
  3. Pretty fun, especially that main riff. Not much of a lead guy but thought I'd give this a go.
  4. Sustain works differently for chords than single notes. If there's the same chord repeated after a break the handshape will continue ignoring the notes sustain, the only note where sustain matters is the last chord where it's sustain duration will be used to extend the handshape. You'll have to mark the first chord of each group of notes as crazy (select it and press T) which'll cause a break in the handshape indicating that it shouldn't be sustained. If you have the "3D render RS style chords" setting on in preferences repeat chords will show up as blue lines in the guitar hero preview window so you can check if it worked from within eof. The note after the gap should show the chord again instead of a blue line. This is a screenshot of the eof project from this song. You can make some pretty good ones once you have an accurate template, it uses a modified guitarcade skybox to be 4 times higher res than the standard toolkit ones without cutting off the top and bottom of the frets like their templates. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/53049-colds-crap/page/5/#comment-359722
  5. When importing a tab, if a note is palm muted EOF will automatically set the sustain to 1ms regardless of length which is a pain in the ass for certain things like breakdowns. Sustain should only really be added to notes that are a quarter note or longer though. Generally rather than marking them all as sustain I'll mark the staccato notes as accent to differentiate them which allows you to assume the others are to be ringed out without cluttering the chart with short sustained notes. Here's an example of what I did for mick gordon - rip and tear. For palm muted chords you'll have to use a mix of accents and crazy notes to break the handshapes up which kinda acts as the sustain for chords. Here's an example of how that could look (or this? couldn't find a great example soz), but I should've also used accents in-between the crazy chords to help break up the smaller gaps too.
  6. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/66553-rs1-to-rs2014-file-conversion-so-i-can-open-them-in-tonelib-jam-or-guitar-pro/&do=findComment&comment=364574
  7. I'm playing it with fingers, only really use a pick for stuff like constant 16th notes that kill your hands. Mostly just the fretting that needs some practice.
  8. This shouldn't be too hard, but all my combined bad habits make it a pain to get through. Guess I should try barring the second fret for the main riff? This one's pretty fun.
  9. Been reuploading songs and sorting out which ones got randomly deleted lately, I'll try go give 'em a go tomorrow.
  10. All I can suggest is try on a different audio file and see if you have any luck there, or maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling wwise. Don't think I've seen this error before so I'm not too sure what's going on.
  11. Since there's only one tone change it is unneeded and can cause an error. You can just remove it and use the default tone slot with no issues. Track/Rocksmith/tone change/list Then it'll open up this menu and you can delete them from here. You'll have to do this per track if they all have tone changes.
  12. Automatic tab generation is far from usable as is, but it's pretty useful as a base. Currently it works way better for bass than it does for guitar so I guess you're in luck there. lunaverus anthemscore is what I've been using lately, if you pair it with some ai separation it can figure out the bass pretty well. It sucks with it's automatic beatmap detection (and there's no way to set it to a constant bpm) so if you want to export it from there you'll need to sync it first, but since it only exports midi you can fairly easily just tab off the display with the given note names which allows you to figure out the fingerings as you go. The midi export is a bit of a problem since you only get the note data so when importing into guitar pro you have to figure out the fingering/fretting yourself to make it playable since the automatic fingering generation is terrible. This one of the main problems with ai tab generation, they can figure out the notes but not how to play them so it still takes a bit of work to get it done well but the process is more like working off a midi rip or some sheet music. In general I can tab a song in about an hour or two as opposed to the around 6 that some of the more complicated jazzy baselines would've taken and it saves the tedium of figuring out every note one by one. Melodyscanner is ok but if it messes up the bpm there's no fixing it and you don't get the spectrogram display to adjust the wrong notes to, it's also a subscription service instead of a one off payment if you want the full version. Since it's online it doesn't have the beast ram requirements of anthemscore though.
  13. As the error says you need to install java for the ps3 conversion to work. https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

  15. I'd assume it's a cfsm issue. Both charts were made using dlc builder so editing them with cfsm would be repacking them with the toolkits system instead which is probably causing some errors. Maybe try editing them with dlc builder directly instead of cfsm, it's quick import option is pretty useful for quick one off changes and it might stop the errors from appearing.
  16. This'll install the dll for you, just run it and select your rocksmith installation folder (if it can't find it automatically). https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler
  17. If all other songs still work fine and it's just those 4 that don't work it's probably an issue with the song itself, try repairing them in cfsm.
  18. You need the cherub rock dlc for the songs to show up. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/248750/Rocksmith_2014__The_Smashing_Pumpkins___Cherub_Rock/ If cherub rock isn't showing up in the songlist cdlc songs won't either since they use it's ID to appear ingame.
  19. Yep it'll keep them. I've got 2 separate dlc folders I swap between and it'll save scores, favorites, play count and everything with no issues. I think it's saved based on arrangement ID (and maybe dlc key?) so as long as you don't rebuild the songs in the toolkit, or use the "preserve stats" option in cfsm for repairs they should stay.
  20. Pretty fun. Played most of the intro a string up, rip.
  21. I noticed it was fairly out of sync. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67465-rocksmith-2014-championship-week-479/&do=findComment&comment=374861
  22. Try turning on/off "EnablePerPixelLighting" in the rocksmith.ini file or change the graphic preset in visual settings. If that's no good maybe try verifying the game files on steam or updating your graphics drivers.
  23. Uninstalling the game keeps certain files like the old cdlc .dll file, which will cause the game to crash if it's used on a different game version than intended. Since you've got backups of rocksmith if you selected the wrong folder with the cdlc enabler it won't install the dll to the correct game and it will still crash when you play cdlc. Use the browse local files option on steam and select that path in the cdlc enabler, then run the game through steam to make sure you're running the correct version.
  24. Generally if cdlc songs are not loading (freezing when you select them in the menu) it's because the patch/dll file hasn't been installed properly. Are you on windows or mac?
