Looking for some help. Does anyone have a profile with everything unlocked that they would be willing to share? I have looked online and can't seem to find anything legitimate. I don't use RS online at all. Every time I use the software I play in offline mode because everything is working well and i have an irrational fear that ubisoft/steam is going to insert some nefarious code to screw up the whole "customs" deal. What can I say.... I am paranoid!!! If you are willing to help then thanks in advance.
The fact that the band stops playing if you stop playing in session mode is an EPIC FUCKING FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been addressed multiple time on multiple forums and to the best of my knowledge it has never been fixed/patched. They lost my business right there. Refuse to buy a dlc to support the software because of that reason. Don't even get me started on the whole tuning issue.
There are just too many. I would have to do it by genre..... In no particular order Rock EVH Jimmy Page Joe Perry Blues Robben Ford Buddy Guy EC Jazz Pat Metheney Al DiMeola Paco De Luca .............................................. the fourth, Why me of course..... if and when I actually lean to play!
In that case my apologies for being redundant. I cant really offer up anything that hasnt already been suggested at this point, so I will bow out and wish you luck on finding a resolution to your conundrum.
Try... control panel, sound, recording.. then double-click on microphone(Rocksmith usb adapter), levels. There should be a slider there... slide up to 100%. Mine always changes itself to 17% every time I start RS.
And by the way, the quality and playability of rock Smith is far superior to rock prodigy. Please don't take my posts the wrong way I think rock Smith is the shit. Just wish it had an actual teaching program built in.
I am not saying the lessons and rock Smith are any good. Quite the opposite I think the lessons and rock Smith are excellent. Very well done. But they are almost entirely technique based.
Here is the example I will give. If you took a complete beginner and gave Finn rock Smith for six months let him go through all of the lessons, let him go through all of the songs, and assuming at the end of six months he could flawless I still don't think I would consider him a guitar player.
Here's why. If you took that same person and threw him up on stage with say a blues band and he had to play a song he has never played before and the lead guitarist said okay this is a 12 bars of blues in the key of G and we're changing to the key of B-flat after the drum solo I don't think he would be able to play the song.
Firstly I think it's important that you learn how to read tab. Outside of locksmith everything is written in tablature.
Second, this type of instruction is what locksmith is sorely lacking. In addition to all the features that rock Smith currently has, if it also had a teaching program like this built into it it would be the complete package.
As it stands currently Brocksmith is pretty much just a program to teach you how to learn songs.
PS sorry about the spelling but I don't type I just use my voice recognition on iPhone.
I pulled the trigger last night. Played it for a couple hours. Stay tuned Dale, I'm going to play some more tonight and maybe tomorrow and I will post a long-winded personal review.
So that begs the question, do you want to learn how to play songs or do you want to learn how to play the guitar?
If you learn how to play songs then that's what you will play just the songs you know. But if you learn how to play guitar then you should be able to play any song.
My point is, like me, I assume most people want to learn how to play the guitar.
