  2. A close friend of mine has Ibanez K5 - Fieldy 5-String (A Standard) Bass (2006 Version - The Dark Green One) http://www.ibanez.com/products/images/sig/pastmodels/K5_TKF_1M_02.png "The Ibanez K5 is the signature bass for metal band KoRn's bassist Reginald Fieldy Arvizu. Fieldy from KoRn has long been an Ibanez user due to its low weight and sound and he got an endorsement deal with Ibanez soon after the breakthrough of KoRn. The five string K5 bass is designed by Ibanez along with Fieldy and includes a Mahogany body, Rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and a K5 inlay at the 12th fret, gold hardware, two active pickups and a Vari-Mid EQ. To achieve his signature sound Fieldy tunes his basses to A, D, G, C, F, turns the midrange all the way off and brings down the EQ all the way down at 180Hz. This makes Fieldys bass stand out from the low end of the two seven string guitars instead of getting too muddy.""I've played all kinds of basses. I've got other companies that want me to endorse, but I don't like any other basses. I'm not like some people who play an instrument because of a contract. I'm playing it because I love it."
  3. i hate my Ashton (Cheap 1st i ever had... Fret Buzz that comes back in diff ways + Goes Out of tune faster then any other bass i've used) Love my Yamaha (RBX270J Bass) http://data.yamaha.jp/sdb/product/image/main/raw/r/rbx270j_black/D297992F9B5D43B0AAD0BA3078776220_12073.jpg http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/rbx/rbx270j/?mode=model and want to get a 5-string Schecter Stiletto Custom-5 http://www.schecterguitars.com/international/images/stories/virtuemart/product/stiletto-custom-5-vrs-tilt.png "Punchy, modern tone jumps out from EMG HZ pickups, a massive S-TEK bridge, and active 12dB EQ. Maple/walnut laminate neck with rosewood fretboard is joined to the mahogany body with six bolts for rock-solid stability. 4. I Only really play Bass Various Genres but hardly play guitar so i def test all my CDLC esp for BASS Accuracy + Playability... but i am not musically trained still... Check out some of my customs... Maybe the Nine Inch Nails songs for eg... i often warm up with NIN - "Just Like You Imagined" ... especially cause i found warming up with songs that only use one string to be a be too limiting... it doesn't warm up anything for me anymore... Various Easy BASS Songs: Korn - For You (4U) Marilyn Manson - The Nobodies Linkin Park - Numb NINE INCH NAILS - I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO JOINING YOU, FINALLY (Newly Added by me to this site) For More of a Warmup : GOJIRA
  5. Nice... that was my first custom for this site from memory... (there was a site b4 that shall not be named)
  6. i just use an offline only version... i never accepted it NEEDing to be connected upon startup as it's not an MMORPG for eg...
  7. it was nice when i started to enjoy playing songs that i used to load up just to bail on...
  8. what are the chords for ‘your woman?’ the verse and chorus is: gm – eb – cm – f the “well i guess what they say is true bit” goes: f# – f – eb – eb f# – f – eb – f and that’s all it is! i don’t know why the tabs i’ve found over-complicate it all so much. http://www.whitetown.co.uk/wp-includes/images/smilies/simple-smile.png where are you from? why are you called white town? two reasons: 1. i’m indian. i was born there and we emigrated to britain when i was three years old, in 1969 i chose the name of the band to represent some of the experiences i had as a kid, growing up brown in predominantly white towns. as you may imagine, it wasn’t exactly a barrel of laughs. 2. i was also alluding to this bit of history: around the forts the first signs of segregation were already apparent – the european and indian communities lived in separate settlements with very distinct characters. in the case of fort st. george, madras, the main fortifications surrounded the warehouses and other military buildings, and the so-called ‘white town’ had another ring of fortification separating it from the ‘black town’. (source: indianest) what gear did you use to record ‘your woman?’ the gear i used was all pretty old and most of it was secondhand. the total value was just over £2000 (in 1997). this was it: * tascam 688 midistudio (8-tracks on cassette) * atari 520stfm running sequencer one (free prog off the front of st format magazine) * emax ii (akais – yeuchh) * casio cz101 (cost 50 pounds) * roland jx3p * casio vl-1 * crappy old electric guitar. that was also pretty much all i used for the whole of the album, although i did get enough money in early ’97 to move to a digital 8-track (da38) and get a beautiful yamaha o2r mixer (swoon). my “studio” for ‘women in technology’ was my spare bedroom which was approximately 9 feet square. with squeaky floorboards which you can hear on some of the vocal tracks http://www.whitetown.co.uk/wp-includes/images/smilies/simple-smile.png what gear do you use now? i use:*dual-processor apple mac g5 (2ghz, 2gig ram) *logic pro 7.1 *motu 24 i/o converters (three of these) after serious issues with logic pro’s appalling midi timing and the fact that apple don’t give a crap about professional musicians, i’ve gone back to hardware. bye bye computer recording! from january ’06, i’ve been using: * yamaha aw2400 * elektron monomachine (currently, the best synth in the world) * elektron machindrum (ditto for drum machines) plus various mics, synths, guitars etc. how do you feel about being a one-hit wonder? better than being a no-hit wonder!
  9. can we get some of the Acoustics here too... Ohne Dich ...
  10. http://www.ninremixes.com/multitracks.php
  11. Also Stuff like: Marilyn Manson - The Nobodies Nirvana - Sappy Nine Inch Nails - Just Like You Imagined Eminem Tracks for eg are usually just one Bass line... on repeat... Even if you only have a 6-String... i recommend trying out the Bass Emulation... at least that way you can practise using 2/3 of your instrument without so many Chords everywhere...
  12. Also... i used to always start the game with Korn - 4U 26 Notes for 100% ... All Long Sustains... Good Basic Practise...
  13. a Few of my Customs have been easy as to play... for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4_a7F9ysP0 Played it on My Yamaha PSS 290 SYNTHESISER - She Wants Revenge - Tear You Apart Played using 80s Yamaha PortaSound Synthesiser (PSS 290) Using dual Tones on the Synth it-self : "BASS PICKED" + "BASS SYNTH" for most realistic sound + Same In-game Tone as I like to use with my Yamaha RBX270 4-String BASS... It's An Easy Song... only 4 Notes from memory...
  14. I'm close to passing out at this time of night but can jump on during the day...
  15. I Mainly Play Bass but today dusted off my LES PAUL 6-String Guitar and enjoyed some White Stripes...
  16. Since getting this game to work can require some special skills at times... MAYBE TRUST ONE OF US WITH YOUR TEAMVIEWER DETAILS SO WE CAN SEE FOR OURSELF AND TRY TO FIX IT FOR YOU...
  17. "Mantra" is a song by Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, and Trent Reznor from the 2013 album Sound City: Real to Reel, the soundtrack to the 2013 documentary Sound City. Grohl was joined by different artists for different tracks as Grohl's Sound City Players. For "Mantra", the final track on the album, he was joined by Homme and Reznor. Homme also appeared on two other tracks on the album, "Centipede" and "A Trick With No Sleeve". History The song was recorded during the jam sessions at Studio 606, Grohl and the Foo Fighters' own studio, where Grohl moved the notorious Neve 8028 console from Sound City after it had closed. The collaboration for "Mantra" was announced on December 14, 2012, two days after the live debut of another song, "Cut Me Some Slack", which features ex-Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. Live footage from the studio, which features Grohl, Homme and Reznor performing an instrumental version of "Mantra", was released via Rolling Stone's official website on March 7, 2013. In a second step were added Reznor's distorted guitar and the interweaving between the singing of the three musicians: "Grohl delivers the primary vocal, but by song's end, Reznor has grabbed the mic, while Homme delivers harmonies and guitar work throughout." Dave Grohl – vocals, drums Josh Homme – bass, backing vocals Trent Reznor – piano, guitar, vocals
