I know many don't really how to or even get lost while creating tones for their songs and i understand why looking at all the possibilities but at one point i think many charter would love to be able to do it by themselves. I already answered to some request for tone creation and many were pleased with what i delivered to them. But i think i'm actually the only one to answer to those request and my time is limited. So in order to help people creating their tone and because i can't find a way to create a tutorial about this i'll do something quite different. If someone request a tone i won't only create the tone but i will also make available a stream of me creating it so that people can see how i do it and even ask question about the process and even try it by themselves later. So the goal is also to find a date so that it's not just a simple tone creation on my end, i want the actual charter of the song to be involved in this process. Just keep in mind that i work with the actual cdlc that you created (no need to be completely finished but at least playable or published in the DB) and only do guitar tones since i don't own any bass at the moment.

For the MC this week : Lead guitar 87.72% and 63 streak http://i.imgur.com/K2kH963.jpg Bass 97.6% and 359 streak http://i.imgur.com/RszXUvf.jpg I've give up on the rhythm, some sections are almost impossible to get with those natural harmonic and i always get a cross for this and some other for some weird little things...
-
If you need to put a gate on a tone, you have a problem in your audio system that you need to correct like 99% of the time.
-
Yep, it's weird i would have think that the bar would not be at the maximum height, well anyway, it's clearly a problem with the DD. Either recreate the DD yourself or ask the author to recreate it himself with the last version of the DDC and the problem should disappear.

You better use a bass part (4 strings as the violin) and yes it is perfectly possible. Check out this : http://customsforge.com/topic/5438-unusual-instrument-experiment/ And if you need any help to set up this (but it seems like you already know how to set up all this) don't hesitate to ask!
-
Your first finger is on 3 then your third finger on 5 after the hammer on, for the pull off you pull off your third finger while your first finger is still on the 3 and just slide your first finger from 3 to 2. Your first finger is always on the strings no matter what.
-
Depends on the tone, some might kill the sustain, some other help make it longer.

Can you put a screen of the level and section indicator (the bars at the top of the screen)?

You signed with a brand if you at least like one of their gear and know that you will use it anyway so getting paid (directly or indirectly) for it is in your interest anyway. I don't think that well known band signed with a brand because they need the gear and don't have enough money to pay for it but because they already like the gear and it's a win-win for the band and the brand. To stay in the topic, higher end guitar usually have better setup and some little thing that make them a little bit easier to play but we all start with cheap guitar and still play decently so it's more a comfort to buy a higher quality guitar than something we need to play correctly in the end. And i like the fact that with my cheap guitar i have learn to adjust it to my need because i don't really care if i'll broke it, it was cheap enough.

Depend on the country too. In France there wasn't any advertising and people that know that RS exist is mostly due to people talking about it and not Ubisoft advertising it at least in France.
-
But even if he play one time the Eb, he never does again in the rest of the 3 octave scale, i thinks it's a fail on his part on the B string.
-
nop that's exactly the same if you take the fret number i indicate plus 12 for the octave where he is playing you'll find that he plays the exact same fret that i indicate in the last post. My first post is wrong because i've wrote a simple phrygian and not a phrygian dominant but as indicated in @a.peter links and as i indicate in my last post you fall on the exact same note that he plays on your video.
-
My bad! Missed the dominant and just used the phrygian so here's the right version for the phrygian dominant with the E root : -0-1-----4-5---7-8---10---12 -0-1---3---5-6-----9-10---12 ---1-2---4-5---7---9-10------13 -0---2-3-----6-7---9-10---12 -0---2-3---5---7-8-----11-12 -0-1-----4-5---7-8---10---12
-
It's absolutely impossible in a scale to go from 1-4, it's a full and a half step, which doesn't exist in any major scale mode which are only made of half and full step plus the fact that there is 3 half step in what you say but the scale is supossed to have only two half step. What i indicate is all the correct fret for the phrygian in C between the open and the 12 fret. From there you can simply choose to stay at one given position like 5 which will give : -5---7-8- -5-6---8- -5---7---- or -4-5---7- -5---7---9- or ----5---7- -5---7-8- -5---7-8-
-
It's simple and i'll explain how to recreate this : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------0-1-3-5-7-8-10-12- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------0-1-3-5-6-8-10-12------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------0-2-4-5-7-9-10-12------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------0-2-3-5-7-9-10-12------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------0-2-3-5-7-8-10-12------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -0-1-3-5-7-8-10-12------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E --h--f--f--f--h--f--f-- h = half step f = full step The phrygian in C go from E to E (C+2 for the phrygian). The Half steps are between 1-2 and 5-6 so it's between E-F and B-C. From there you start from the low E strings, open because E is in the scale, then it's simple repetition, you have an half step so it's one fret first, then two frets between each consecutive note till you get to the B which will be one fret again (the other half step) etc. And from 12 to the rest you just have to repeat the pattern by just adding 12 to the fret number, 12 being the octave.

For a first try it could have been worse for a MC songs: Lead guitar 78% 246 streak http://i.imgur.com/A5Cat9f.jpg Rhythm guitar 90% 263 streak http://i.imgur.com/BKMIsuz.jpg Bass 94% 437 streak http://i.imgur.com/jludQHc.jpg

Need songs with exotic time signature for the next release of DDC
firekorn replied to Chlipouni's question in Rocksmith Remastered
There might be some note that would be out of the exact spot that they should be but they won't overlap so none will be deleted. But they would be close anyway. -

firekorn replied to Chlipouni's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Yes, if you need you might be able to go even further (1/128) but 99% of the time 1/64 should be enough when resnaping. -

Choose a custom grid snap and use a 1/64 then you'll be able to resnap without any problem. -
Dynamic Difficulty and non-DD in one file or multitrack files
firekorn replied to TomSawyer2112's topic in Workshop
Oh that's good to know, hope it will be available soon! About DD, i thinks it's easier to allow one file with and one without because one will pick the one he prefer and that will stay that way and the way most of the charter create DD allow to have both file easily. Since most of the time i already use bonus arrangement (5 strings bass or real bonus arrangement), it won't always be possible to add this the exact same way for every custom and i prefer to use the same process and setup for every custom. -
I just take a look at the four force page and they don't even indicate the weight or the technology of amplification. And comparing the price to what's they "sell", it's seems a bit weird. I don't trust them at first sight. PS : Never trust any video of a guitar player who play around with an amp it doesn't necessarily represent what you will be able to get in the end, depending on how they recorded it, the guitar used, the player, and most of the time they don't even show how they set up the amp.

problem creating custom
firekorn replied to StevenWaterfield's topic in Rocksmith Custom Tool Kit (ARCHIVE)
I think you better go check with the toolkit dev there : http://customsforge.com/forum/56-rocksmith-custom-tool-kit/ -
Making suggestion based on brand is useless. A brand doesn't define the sound the amp create and it can vary a lot in one brand depending on how the amp was designed. A good amp is a personal appreciation some like when the sounds is crystal clear, other like when it's fuzzy and different amp in one brand can answer to different criteria depending on personal preferences and you can find some equivalent in other brand too if you take your time to look (and hear) different amp. The MG series sound is not the best in my own opinion but it's cheap and good enough to begin with and if he likes the sound of it, i think he should go for it.
-
I just take a look at the review in different site and at this price and this power it's seems like a good starter amp to me. The MG series seems quite hated by some but i own one myself and it's quite decent, far from perfect but compared to the price at this power it's hard to find something better without doubling the price. At one point if you don't know where to look with all this different advice, just go to a local music store and try some amp with your guitar and see what you prefer.
-
To be clear, i don't think he need a 100W or even a 50W if it's just starting but i prefer to say out of my own experience that a too small amp will obliged you to change quickly so even if it's cheaper you might not use it a lot in the end and even with my mustang, playing with headphone allow me to get the full potential of the amp without starting a war with the neighbour. It's a good way to practive too since headphones have usually more bass so it gives you a different perspective on your sound. And yeah 20W can be enough to fill a room but it depends on the room you want to fill obviously, without knowing how, when and where he practice it can be hard to give a real good advice on what's best so giving him different point of view can help to make the best choice for him. Concerning the technology uses in amps, there's no right decision because they are the one creating the sound of your guitar so it depends on every one taste. I'm not a fan of tube amp mostly because they induce distortion in the sound that i'm not a fan of and if needed i can reproduce them but the opposite doesn't work but that's my personal view.
