  2. Nope, I hadn't even thought to add a lefty mode. Shouldn't be too hard, though - just a left/right mirror?
  3. No left-handed mode.... Can't even use it Unless I'm not seeing some option
  4. Yesterday
  5. first attempt at Jingo vs third attempt at Backwater.
  6. You only need to download "ChartPlayerVST3Plugin.zip". Extract it, and follow the instructions in the included README.txt. Download the "PsarcConverter.zip" file and extract it anywhere you like. Then just run the program "PsarcConverter.exe". Virus detection often relies on having a database of "known" files. Because of this, detectors will often incorrectly flag uncommon files. I have no reason to believe that any of the files I am distributing are dangerous. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
  7. Rhythm Most of the chart is repeatable and easy, but some chords can be tricky. 7.5 is ok.
  8. Late start this week. Lead first. Quite a funny song, I wouldn't have guessed it was from 2024. As for difficulty, I think this is 3. Ahh an old classic that I haven't heard in a long time and never played. Nice chart, but these bends are weird to play. I didn't know this band but it's pretty cool and I like the solo here. I've never been a fan of Santana's style, but overall this is ok to play and relatively easy for a masterclass.
  9. Hello. I am interested in trying ChartPlayer but have zero knowledge of the technicalities. I started playing guitar in 1964 so you can guess I'm pretty old but I do have the time to test things out as now retired. I did not like the interface (or the songs) on Rocksmith+ much (tried it as a beta tester) so have continued with Rocksmith 2014. I have managed to download 100's of songs from CustomsForge and would like to try some on your player. I have downloaded and activated Cakewalk as the host DAW and the demo tunes are working. I have looked at your two download links for ChartPlayer and the PsarcConversion tool. I also read the read me files you put in the folders. Due to my aforementioned lack of expertise, I cannot get them to work. These may seem dumb questions but grateful if you could answer them. 1) There are 3 zip files for ChartPlayer - do I need to extract all three to C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST3 or if not what should I do? 2) Same question for PsarcConversion Tool. Also: Where should I put these files on my computer to make the tool work? Finally Norton removed a large number of the files (esp dll's) contained in the folders saying they were unsafe - I obviously do not want to compromise the security of my computer if Norton is right. Am I safe to ask Norton to allow these files to remain? I am on Windows 11.
  10. Indeed, so my question about trying the game without the .dll is null and void as the .dll permits the game to work with "too many cores" if you are using the newest version as Phantatsy said. So something happened in this time frame, whether added hardware, like bluetooth, or a mod, or some other software update. (Or files just wandered off to the abyss.) If you have not tried already, try verifying file integrity through Steam first. At this point if that does not work back up your cdlc (which it sounds like you already did), and then uninstall Rocksmith, and reinstall after a reboot, then run the cdlc enabler again.
  11. Last week
  12. The newest D3DX9_42.dll file that is installed by the CDLC Enabler includes a fix for the "too many core" issue. What else have you tried to fix the issue? Also, is there a .mdmp file in your Rocksmith folder? That'll at least give me something to work off of.
  13. That’s true but I believe the current enabler takes that into account. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong…
  14. Yes I used the enabler and I'm using the normal game not the beta with dlc installed and I removed my cdlc mod folder. Before the enabler it wasn't even loading at all. Last time I played rocksmith was December 23/Jan 24 and it was working fine so I'm abit stumped. I read somewhere that this game has issues with intel 13900ks due to too many logical cores and tried all those fixes too with no luck
  15. If it is the wrong file / with the wrong version of the game, it may cause the game to crash. Does the base game work without the d3dx9.dll? Did you use the enabler in the very first post of this thread?
  16. I just released a new PsarcConverter that works properly on scaled screens.
  17. Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed this sort of issue in other contexts before, so I should be able to sort it out here. Yeah, there is definitely tweaking that could be done. If you have specific examples where there are issues, can you let me know? Thanks! Implementing the more "gamey" parts (like scores, etc.) has been a low priority for me, but I can see how at least some of that would be useful. I also haven't spent a ton of time fine-tuning the note detection, so more work will likely be necessary there to make accuracy % really useful. I recently put a little README in the VST plugin .zip file. It only talks about getting the plugin installed, though. Any specific information you are thinking of? Thanks for the feedback!
  18. Hi @ ladron , I discovered your work this morning, and just tried it. Great work and ingenious idea to integrate it inside a DAW ! At least, you don't have to manage the Guitar audio amps and effects. This part of the work is a significant obstacle for my own project. After playing a few songs in D standard tuning, here are my first feedback : When I first tried to use the PSARC Converter, it was not possible for me to click on the buttons. I found that sensitive areas where not located on the same position as the buttons. Finally, I identified that this issue was relative to my Windows scale screen preference (125%). I changed it to 100% and the tool worked well. The camera movements are sometimes too abrupt (when notes pass from one end to the fretboard to the other) Frames for chords in high density status are difficult to see (maybe an issue with my laptop screen) Please add a progress bar to know the percentage of well played notes It is also necessary to add a small documentation for users that don't know how to use a DAW and integrate your plugin I will give you more feedbacks in the next days ... Regards
  19. I'm sure there's a solution for that (as you bought all the DLC I'm assuming not a pirate copy of RS, because that WON'T work, ever), but hang tight; I'm mainly familiar with Mac, others here can help you with PC. I would encourage you to use the latest version to ensure it all works smoothly. That's about all I can counsel for the moment. Your other choice to get fast response is to ask on the Discord forum as that's typically more active. Good luck!
  20. So the issue im having right now is I managed to download the d3dx9 file and put it in the rocksmith folder which has allowed the game to load which is better than before but it loads for like 20 seconds then crashes back to desktop never actually reaches the main menu any other ideas ?. Really sucks as i bought nearly all the DLC on steam just before the delisting thinking rocksmith would be my long term tool to learn guitar and now i cant play it at all.
