  1. My sight reads for this week: Great song, love the ramones! Another great one, good practice switching between a few chords. I am not really into Anime but it was nice to play something different, has some pretty challenging and unexpected chords. Now onto the lead sight reads: Very fun on lead aswell! My favorite song of this week, another banger choice by @ cacahuate51 I love this song, and this movie rocks! As a lover of 80s Horror movies, I find this to be a fun and cheesy one! Fun to play too. 38 special and their damn hard outros lol! Great song and overall not too difficult except for some of the solo parts. Love Don Barnes as a vocalist he's amazing! Oof this kicked my ass! Those chords are soooo difficult I find the chords way harder on lead compared to rhythm, funny! Very challenging but a nice different song pick. Another great week and great picks @ Rodman very enjoyable as always. I won't be playing anymore this week as I have a shoulder/neck injury so I hope it will get better soon as I love the Championship and want to keep participating but otherwise, I might have to drop out for a while
  2. My remaining 2 Masterclass Lead Sightreads: Some great guitar work in this one, some sections are way above my playing level but overall a nice song just wish it was a bit shorter. A new song? Very cool! Dream Theater is always cool, Petrucci is a guitar god! I also saw I was promoted to Masterclass Rhythm, awesome! I don't think I am a masterclass Rhythm player at all because I am bad at arpeggios, can't finger pick suck at certain styles (funk, jazz chords etc) however I'm happy to accept my promotion. I guess it depends on what you practice. Since I never play fingerstyle, it's not surprising that I'm not good at it—it's just not my thing. For instance, I think Fleetwood Mac songs are a masterclass in rhythm; there are some songs I struggle to play at all!
  3. Here are my first Lead sight-reads for this week! More fun to play on lead compared to Rhythm, perfect for beginners! Pretty similar to the Rhythm track with just a small but nice solo. Great song! This is a '80s classic! My mother LOVES this song. This was really fun to play and very well transcribed. Great choice @ cacahuate51 ! As fun (if not more fun!) on Lead. Great song with a great atmosphere. I will play the Helloween and Dream Theater track at a later time as this session was already long. I must admit I would have loved seeing Mr. Scary from Dokken this week as I think Lynch with his chord choices is the best man for this Halloween-themed week! So that is a bit of a missed opportunity, but I understand there are only so few songs you can pick each week so you did a great job either way! @ cacahuate51 I hope everyone is having a great week rock on!
  4. Here are my Rhythm sight-reads with some of my thoughts: I've never liked Marilyn Manson, and I doubt I ever will; I don't quite understand his mass appeal. But we all hear things differently so if you like him more power to you! As for the Rhythm track itself, good for beginners! Nice song choice @ Daz40 saw you also have some of my created songs in your list, I appreciate that! As for this song, my ALL-time favorite movie is Back To The Future, I can watch it anytime, so much fun! So I'm happy to play this, a few chords caught me off-guard but a great song for a masterpiece of a movie! This was the surprise of the week! I am not big into power metal generally but this song rules! Very nice atmospheric piece that is great for the theme of this week. Helloween, is very fitting for this week of course. Legendary band! A bit too long for my liking but it's a good song. I am not sure if it's a masterclass for Rhythm but I know masterclass Rhythm songs are hard to come by. I am sure @ avastreg loves the Power Metal selection for this week, I know you are a big Power Metal fan! Very fun Rhythm selection. I hope everyone is having a great week! Rock on
  5. Well done on the song selection! I want to repeat what Daz said: I appreciate all the work the organizers do! Picking the songs can be difficult, and it is nice to see how carefully you picked the Halloween-themed songs this week! I will play my first sight reads a bit later today! On another note, 311—Boom Shanka, my score still hasn't been added. You said I should be more patient, so hopefully, it will get fixed. It would be frustrating if I played a song and it didn't get added in the future. I know this is not the first time this has happened. Last week, my score on Rhythm for Babylon AD Bang Goes the Bell also never appeared on the leaderboard.
  6. Yess! I got the 85%! That is what I was aiming for I might be able to improve it a tiny bit by tomorrow, but I don't think I can do much better than this.
  7. Iron Maiden Lead improvement. Great melodic lines in this one, the more I heard it the more I started liking this song. Great choice @ Mikson
  8. Improvement for the Iron Maiden Rhythm, fun song!! Why won’t people add my Boom Shanka Rhythm score? I’ve posted the screenshot twice and mentioned Rodman, but I’m not sure what’s going on with that. I practiced Blackfoot again, but I realized that improving in such a short time takes a lot of effort. I will try to make some progress, but I don’t think I can improve significantly in a short period.
  9. My lead Sight Reads for this week: Fun song, loved to play this one! Great for Rocking beginners! Avastreg already said it perfectly: simple but effective! Great power chord practices! Man what great Lead work on this song! I love Iron Maiden and this has some stellar guitar lead lines. Man I suck at arpeggios so bad! I adore this song but I am terrible at some parts of this song. My goal is to get it to 85 and if I reach that perhaps aim for 90 but that is a stretch. What a killer Southern Rock anthem! @ Rodman Or whoever can add scores, could you please add my score for Rhythm 311 - Boom Shanka? See page 1 for my score. Thanks! What a fun week again on both Rhythm and Lead, I enjoyed all the choices tremendously. Rock on!
  10. Could someone please add my 311 - Boom Shanka score on Rhythm please? I think the one who added my other scores forgot about this one
  11. Really great playing, welcome back! For me I use imgur to upload and copy the image directly and that works fine for me. Not sure what others use but this is what works for me
  12. Hello Everyone! Here are my Rhythm sight reads for this week to start with: Cool song, nice low tuned song I enjoyed it good beginner pick! Great song again, 311 is a cool band, only missed one note I think damnit! Quite the endurance workout. I love Iron Maiden however I could do without the long intros and outros, just cut the songs a little bit! Oh man I am so excited you picked Highway Song, it's probably my all-time favorite song! So I am very excited to play this one, I am pretty terrible at the beginning (same for Lead) but man I am so happy to play and practice it!!! Fun fact about this song, many earlier songs from the catalog are mentioned in this song, ''Big Wheels, Flying HIgh, Madness, Stranger on the road, I stand alone and more!'' pretty cool if I say so! And man what an amazing vocal performance by Ricky Medlocke, incredible! I will play the lead on another day because the songs were pretty lengthy. Really enjoying this week. Hope everyone is having a fantastic week, rock on!
  13. Rhythm improvement for this song. Pretty tricky riff that I can't get much better than this. Also I saw my score on Rhythm disappeared from Babylon AD - Bang Goes The Bells. Could someone add my score again please? Thank you
  14. Have a good week/holiday! That's really impressive that you haven't missed a single week since May 2020. My hats of to you
