Will also not work on a version "downloaded from another source". You will have to make a decision. Do you wish to use the cdlc or the unlicensed dlc. If you wish to use the cdlc, very very simple way to get it to work. Download Steam and Rocksmith 2014 that you already own on to the new machine. If you already own it, you can simply download it to the new machine, then use the enabler or .dll

You can still download it if you own it, you just can’t buy it, I believe.

Thankyou for your input and I'll heed your warning, But for FYI I do have a genuine steam original Rocksmith 2014 on my other laptop but as it had no dedicated graphics card I have recently upgraded my machine, as I heard that steam have stopped you from downloading RS14 as a view to selling their RS+ so technically if I already own RS14 then it's not really classed as a copyright infringement but I understand you have certain rules and policy procedures, so I apologise unreservedly. I will try and download the dll, file and see if that works, thanks again.

@ jimmy655 @ AndreCardoso and other bass players who have already downloaded it. In the Marillion song I added that there is a different CDLC for bass, and I put the same link as for guitar (stupid), so please download it again.

First results: I missed a note (I think) Have to repeat the transition. I think I can improve it. Overall, this week seems I don't have issues in the songs, so I can only blame myself

No, It will not work on a pirated copy.

You should be able to. A solution was put into place to rectify the issue, and hopefully it doesn't come back.

As of right now, I do not know of a fix for this issue as far as the .exe is concerned. However, you can download just the .dll file (it's zip'd because no one will host it otherwise lol) and put it in your Rocksmith folder.

Hi I have only recently started playing RS14 after some time off and a new laptop my question is my Game runs perfectly and all 1500+ DLC'S work fine but I installed some CDLC files from my old machine on to the dlc folder of my new Laptop but when I open them I get the issue where you only see the amps and no songs show up or the note highway. However I have followed Chainbrains tutorial and have downloaded the patch to try to sort out my issue of the CDLC'S not working, But when I click the patch enabler a window pops up saying that (we cannot detect where you have Rocksmith located. Please try reinstalling your game on Steam). so does anyone know why this won't work and why I keep getting the error message above and more importantly how to fix it? Thanks

I'll just add: @ BubbleWrapDragon I also had problems with recognizing notes in solo of the song Scarlet Begonias. So it seems that the fault is clearly on the CDLC side, in some CDLCs I have poor recognition and, despite many years of playing, I still don't fully understand what causes it... @ jimmy655 I mentioned earlier that it is difficult to rate the difficulty of a chart like the one in the song California Dreaming. I don't think this chart deserves more than a 5.5/6, and the scores are lowered by unrecognized pull-off notes. Despite this, in this song we play on one string and on similar frets, while, for example, in Slash song we have to move much more and jump between strings. Anyway, you achieved over 99.5% on Slash song rated 7 (the highest rating for the advanced class), which promotes you to the masterclass on bass. If you think it was too easy and you don't want to level up yet, just write in the new week's topic.
