What about next week? @ GeoAbraxas are you still here? Haven't seen your posts for a long time. Will you be able to do a special week (stoner, psychedelic songs in 420 symbolism as mentioned earlier) or a week with regular selection?

@ Mikson Hey, sorry, had some stuff happen this week that was less than good and haven't had a chance to really play guitar or visit the site much. Last week was all home renovations so I've been mostly out of the loop there for a couple weeks. 

Honestly, I'm not really your guy for stoner or psychedelic music, which considering how much weed I smoke is something that maybe I would want to get around to fixing. Most songs that I know that fit that theme are either already ODLC or aren't CDLC. 

So our options here are:

1. Everyone throw out some suggestions and we can see what sticks.

2. Someone with more knowledge picks it up for this week, I'll make an extra week up in the near future.

3. Just do a regular week.

Personally I wish I could just do it because I actually really like theme weeks and would like to put one together.

If you've read the first page of this topic, you know what's going on. I did not know about the symbolism of 420 myself, so I did not think that I could make a special week on this occasion. I know it takes more time to make a theme week than normal, so it's hard to do in 1-2 days (I spent a lot of time testing rain songs for this theme week). So I think either a few people will share the song suggestions for the special week and we'll do something about it, or you will make a normal week.

Sadly, I am not able to give any difficulty ratings on these, and none of them have rhythm parts. I can probably test some of these tomorrow if you want, but no guarantees. Also, I don't think the stoners (if there are any in here) will care. So maybe it would be a 'stoner' thing to just forget about it?

1. Please don't get the impression that the work you put in is not appreciated. The song selection is great, all of them are fun to play, and the theme tying them together makes it even more interesting. 
2. The 420 thing is just a dumb meme. There's no deep symbolism in it. 
3. If it ever gets to week 1337 remember to put some hacker themed songs in.

Question as per scorings below - last completed weeks, does this mean we need 10 weeks completed consecutively to have this score? Or is it just calculated off whichever our last weeks' scores were. 

IDK if that makes sense, but between my ADHD-ass brain and life stuff, I often miss week and thus don't get to submit in time. Will missing weeks here and there just mean less chance to score points overall? I'm confused.

Also, while I'm glad to see Bela and the Flecktones in there - goddamn this s--t is impossible to play with a hand injury that forces me to play pickstyle lol. (Truly one of the hardest ones I've seen posted yet!)

i would never though i will be defeated by standard chords song....

i don't know if it is rocksmith recognition or my imperfections (more likely ;), but approx 10% of my chords are always being missed.

 

this was easy...

 

this one i just played few minutes ago and found few licks i should improve, but no time... definitely could get better...

I just had no idea about it, and was suprised to find several people mentioned it right away earlier this week. After checking on google, I thought it was some kind of symbol firmly entrenched in the Western / US subculture. I don't even know among which bands I should look for songs for this theme, the first thing that comes to my mind is Greatful Dead.
