[BUG / needed improvement] - multipacks are not shown

User created multipacks (done for multitracks or rarely collections) are not shown in the CFSM.

Example: fripponomics fonk the blues: I know making that files ready to repair might be on another piece of paper but at least they should show up in search.

Thanks for the help with debugging/testing CFSM lately.

Try this ... go to the 'Settings' tab menu and make sure that 'Include Custom Song Packs' is checked.   The file you reference loaded for me in 'Song Manager' when I did this.

I also checked the file using the 'Song Packs' tab menu and it loaded fine.

You should ask the original charter to repair these files if needed because CFSM will not repair Song Packs.

Didn´t know about that option - gonna test now

P.S @@cozy1 - the link you provide in your signature for latest beta of CFSM should be updated.

Great!  It does, thx!!!

subsequently i must ask to add repair option for those ;) files to push the quality further.

Packs are already analysed by the SM in great time (i thought that would be quite a bottleneck) so unpacking, fixing and repacking should be doable with a few (hundred) codelines.

Sry, the Charter is responsible for their Song Pack and quality.  IMHO

Not untrue.

But the one harmed by unfixed packs is not the Charter...

Further when most of the charters dont care to update the songs.... will they likely update packs?

And is there really a difference between not fixing a song or not fixing a songpack?

One could argue that you can download the individial songs and fix but the problem is that multitracks are sometimes provided as packs only....

I have tried to unpack the packs to fix individually and failed.

The way the cfsm is able to read out the packs right now makes it obvious that fixing would be really no big deal.

Given all that i am really in favor of implementing it.

Just because something can be done, does not mean that it should.  You may have to ponder that for awhile and think about the CF rules, as well as, the developer's MO.  Feel free to PM me.

Do note that in general, CF as a whole isn't found of pack, it's fine for multitrack but is a bannable offense for different songs as it makes chasing down CDLC of oDLC impossible for us so pack shouldn't be a norm in the CDLC database.

Haha... all is good.

Fine for me.

The only songpacks that are in my lib are a few multitracks (i think here the Individual tracks should be available for dl and i will replace the pack with those) and 2 exercise packs (i found dling one file instead of like 10 here really handy) - the charter has agreed to upload the individual files. So problem solved for me.

Last idea about those packs i am gonna post:

What about adding the option here: repack as individual files? Would solve everything.

@@cozy1 - i dug deeper, and unfurtunately i have to report a [bUG] now:

http://up.picr.de/31177812bx.png

the upper 4 are the multitrack-pack

the 5th is the single file

all produced with the same tk as shown on the same day, so all fixed already.

CFSM does not show repair status of songpack songs correctly.

The toolkit is not writing the correct comment to Song Packs.  Will fix in next rev.

EDIT: should be fixed now.  CFSM will show an old Song Pack repair status as Unknown.  Song Packs created with latest toolkit will show actual status.  If you can download individual CDLC that are in the Song Pack you can repair these and then create your own Song Pack if so desired with the toolkit.
