Is there a easier way to space out the notes when making CDLC's

Question

So I've been learning to make CDLC's and I just hate having to sit there and space the guitar notes to fit the song right, I set the Bpm right but still songs will be way off. Is there something I dont know about to speed up this process?

Beat mapping isn't fun, but it is necessary and takes time.  These are good tutorials:

Goplayalong does it for you, but it cost money.  I've never used it but others say it works.

I wouldn't recommend following a tutorial telling you to move guitar notes instead of beats.  If you have more than one arrangement it's a mess, plus the DD creator doesn't like it when you chart that way.  There are other reasons as well.

If you really wanna speed up the process, just sync the start of every section.  If the band plays with a steady tempo you may get lucky and that will be enough to be playable.

@@Rockfirstlast people like the fact you can see the standard tab notation and find it easier to do than in EOF. I've never been a fan of GPA as i don't see any benefit from it but if some people find it easier, why not...

My understanding is that GPA can automate some of the syncing. Not completely, but perhaps enough to cut down the amount of time this part of the authoring process takes.
