so my issue is that i want to listen to my guitar and not the lead guitar of the cdlc songs. is there a way to mute the lead because i cant really listen to my guitar thus i cant detect where i did mistakes, cant improvise etc.

@@unjinx69 you can't just mute the lead guitar in the backing track. There's CDLC that have multitrack version that allow you to play without the part you are playing in the backing track but they aren't legion.

 

One thing you can do is lower the whole backing track level in the mixer (you can access it via the pause menu in a song) so that what you are doing is standing out in the mix.

@@unjinx69, well there is three more options for you:

1) best is to get Multitracks version of CDLC, so you have isolated instrument and able to listen to whole song + your tone
2) Adjust song volume a bit lower than your instrument(about 75/100 is song volume/your volume would fit well)

3) ignore all the thing and get metronome arrangement, mute song volume completely and practice like in GP with metronome, @@Azrael have some of thees ;)
