Here's a project I've thought about for awhile. This isn't a Discography project, anyone who knows about Buck know that would be virtually impossible. There's over 100 Pikes and it would be impossible to try to do them all, he releases a new Pike pretty much every week and it doesn't look like he'll stop soon. This is for not only Pike tracks. @TomSawyer2112 convinced me that we should be doing more than the Pikes. Most of the tabs i'll be using are made by the transcribing mad genius, Bucketfel. I'll do as many as I can, probably only a fraction of the entire Pikes series, but we'll have more Buckethead to play. All songs made by me, unless otherwise stated.

I appreciate your thread, and I'll support it the best I can. I've currently made an inventory of all available tabs, about 230 and I'll check them for accuracy in the next days, to see what I'll do next. Bucketfel is a hell of transcriber, I hope he will continue his greatly appreciated job. There are currently 54 cDLC, not only Pikes.

Feel free to experiment with my tones, I changed Smirocsmo's tone in the Patrolman.

I could sync "Our Selves" in 2 minutes in Play Along, so I don't think I'll need your xml, thanks

 

I checked your projects, you'll need some tone changes, flangers and whawha's. Good Luck.

I try to care about ghost and grace notes that get lost when importing tabs to EOF and to RS14,

about the length of sustains and useless block notes in slides for best readability,

fret hand positions for playability

I define phrases first, with catalog, then gather them into sections, this way DD should work best.

However Buckethead often doesn't have repeating patterns.

Hi, thanks for this project page, i'm currently testing some tones for N,Y,C pykes customs because i see that they have default one.  For N are  quite ready.

Actually i see that the tab for lead missing some notes in the main riff.

In this video you can hear the tones for N and the correct riff with the missing note.

G9 - G13 doesn't sounds correct.

Bucketfel's Tab has a slide G11/13, and that sounds better, I prefer a bend on fret 12

I would have preferred N Y C named

Hold me forever 1.N,

Hold me forever 2.Y,

Hold me forever 3.C

they should be displayed together in RS in that order, because Y is in the continuity of N, while C is the final peek.

I think he should probably just combine them into one song. He could name it, Hold me forever: NYC or just NYC.

It would be awesome if we could get Bucketfel or either Buckethead himself here. I'm sure they have time for this

I've talked to Bucketfel and asked if he had any objections with me making a track from the yet titled Pike 76. All he said is that it was an interesting concept and that the tones needed a little work.  :D

Good news everyone, yesterday Maksim released tabs for ev and er. Right now I'm working on them. Also I have that crazy idea to release that pike as one big track. If someone could help with the tones, then that would be awesome, because I have no idea how to make them.

We can make this thread beyond the pikes, it'll take me awhile to add the other songs. At the moment , i'm updating my customs, so it might be awhile before i make some new stuff. Also, for the 7 string guitar you can use Drop A tuning. I've done it for a few songs that use 7 string. Of course it depends on the tuning.  :D
