It probably means that you have characters in your lyrics file that Rocksmith does not support, usually non English characters.

 

Download Notepad++ and load up the XML file.  Chances are Notepad++ will point out the mistake by highlighting it in a different colour, or use the line number (139) to find it.  The mistake is line 139, character 62.

 

 

You can try to build the custom with no lyrics, if it works then that is definitely the problem.  If you are not confident using XML editor (its really easy, I was really surprised how easy Notepad++ makes it) then get your song lyrics from a different website and sync them again.

It's intended for EOF to warn you if any of the lyrics have these types of characters, but it doens't check things like phrase names. If you can post your EOF project file I could take a look.
