  1. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware of, you have to press escape twice. Creating a firewall block will not stop the Rocksmith program from running as programmed. You would need a mod for that, and as far as I know, no mod exists for that. This was asked at the beginning of the month, just in another form. I looked around the net then and didn't / couldn't find anything, as I said no mod exists, as Blues McGroove answered in that thread then.
  2. The songs on this site have been converted to 2014. RS1 used a different file system. In the past, the Rocksmith Tool kit was able to convert songs to RS1. You had to use a very specific version of WWise. There was a site (Smithy's Anvil) that hosted cdlc for RS1 that basically died about 6 months after Rs2014s release. In Internet years, that is ancient. If there is a will, there is a way. I personally do not have the patience or knowledge or focus. All I can do is provide this and following information. I also personally do not remember how cdlc was enabled on Rs1, nor did I personally ever. I believe all you had to do was put the songs in the correct folder and change the song id to a song dlc you owned. I believe Dammit by Blink-182 was used. If this is true, it will be problematic as no dlc is currently purchasable, meaning nearly impossible. There were threads on here asking the same thing, they are all ancient in internet years as I said. Here is one: https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/47533-creating-dlc-for-rs1/#findComment-291281 I do not mean to sound negative here, but you are swimming against the riptide / banging your head against the wall / trying to get blood from a turnip or a stone.
  3. The enabler is the patch file installer. It is available in the very first top post of this thread. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/cdlcenabler As Tmlt said, you will have to browse to show the enabler the install path since your root folder is on an extended drive. It maybe easier to copy the enabler over to the root Rocksmith folder and run it from that folder. Also, since you are using the game on a secondary drive, give this thread / Dowsett's post near the bottom for the fix on how to fix not showing cdlc: https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67574-new-cdlc-doesnt-show/#findComment-377516 Remember to back up any and all cdlc before uninstalling / reinstalling the game.
  4. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/guidelines/; No piracy, no mentioning piracy-related sites, no crack discussion. You are risking post deletion, account suspension / ban while putting this site at risk. No one here will be able to help you, see the site guidelines. If you wish to use this site, and CDLC, you will have to find a legit copy / Steam Key and redeem it while avoiding scammers, cut throats, scalpers, and already redeemed / used keys. Best of luck.
  5. Has been asked already (numerous times). It may change in the future, but no time soon. Please read:
  6. No. At this immediate moment all I can answer is this portion of the post. The enabler, the .dll in the current form removed the need for Cherub Rock because Cherub Rock is de-listed and no longer available for purchase. Are the Cdlcs in the DLC folder of the Rocksmith 2014 folder, Are you using multiple drives in the laptop, ie Steam Library on a secondary drive?
  7. A couple things taken under assumption here; a) Using a fresh install of Windows on a new hard drive and not the old; b) that you attempted to download RS from Steam with correct log in / account info. If both assumptions are correct, there should be no reason that it is not downloading from Steam. Contact Steam Support.
  8. I am not a professional anything, other than a pro-crastinator. I have replaced pickups on 3 guitars, and on the TMB35. I have replaced the eq on my SR405QM, and one acoustic bass. I had a professional electronics guy rebuild the preamp on the other acoustic bass. I have built a couple Stew Mac pedals for kicks and giggles. One turned out great, the other only half worked. I modified 2 of the the guitars to have a series / parallel switch like a Charvel pro mod DK24. Again, I am not a professional anything, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Anything I say is meant as constructive and not a personal attack of any sort. I looked up the BTB200, Wiki say that you have "Components include a pair of Ibanez DX-4 passive pickups with a Phat II EQ ..." https://ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/BTB200 and is supported by the 2006 EU catalog page 58, the BTB200 is a 35" scale bass. https://www.hoshinogakki.co.jp/pdf/ibanez/catalog/2006EU.pdf. Me personally, I would not have posted the serial number, but by doing so I know that the guitar was manufactured in 2006. The Phat II eg is a "basic" "inexpensive" one band boost according to my quick and non-thorough search. That means it is basically 18, going on 19 years old, and electronics wear out. I am not saying that this is the cause of your problem, but is highly possible. Again, I am not there to test things out. Even if I was, and had my voltmeter, being a simple hobbiest, I lack the ability to test the board. Again, could be other things IF the problem is guitar side. Also with me not having a before and now experience, I have no reference to natural volume of that particular instrument. I again recommend an actual guitar tech and not internet guesses. Pots wear out, electronics wear out, output jacks wear out, etc. From my vantage point, the bass has a unique shape to it, and if the rest of the bass is fine, it is worth repairing, replacing with a new preamp, or by-passing the preamp (if source of the problem) all together. All of which have both advantages and disadvantages. It might be as simple as checking the PP3 connections. You stated above that with a fresh 9v that it is working better. In that regard you will have to decide if worth messing with the guitar or living with it how it is.
  9. To me, nothing is more frustrating than something not working the way it was or should be and not knowing. Wish I could be of more help other than saying what the battery is for, but again, that is really all I can currently do. Again, someone else may see something blatantly obvious I am not or have forgotten.
  10. The battery is for either active pickups or preamp /eq. depending on your particular bass (there is a difference). A lot of modern basses have built in preamps where most guitars do not have on board active controls. Some guitars do, overwhelmingly most guitars do not, and most guitarists do not like the idea of a battery that can die mid performance. As far as not working properly, a dead or unplugged battery will render the instrument doa unless you have a by-pass switch as my Ibanez 805 has. Turning the by-pass on will be quite a bit more dulled, less bright, and less volume sounding lacking the active controls adding any boost. But the bass will work with a dead battery. IF this is what your situation is, then yes it could be 100% to blame. However since you have replaced the battery and it has not returned to full volume, you can say that it was not 100% the reason for it not working. Obviously something else is in play. IF your bass went from full volume output / detection and you are/ were letting the game control the input gain override, with active preamp /active pickups, the override very well could have been set to a negative number. As far as to your question what I have mine set at, I do not have the over ride turned on, I let the game do that when it is calibrated in tuning, which should be done often. Switching between a bass which has on board controls and a guitar that has passive pickups there is an output difference and no help to you. Different basses / guitars will need different adjustments. Without seeing your instrument / setup I personally am unable to diagnose your particular problem. Answering the battery question, I can do. Maybe someone else will be able to give you an idea as to what, but even then I am guessing with no offense intended this is probably better to more qualified help. The first thing I would do is plug into a regular amplifier or 2 and see what the output is like there. If it is indeed weak, you have cut the problem in half. You said the battery was loose. This can be read a couple ways. If it is a metal tab that can be temporarily bent and readjusted until replaced, or a PP# snap connector that is not making a full connection, it too may need to be replaced. These are all guesses. Your volume pot or another pot might be or has failed and need replaced. I can not guess or offer actual assistance without having both in hand. Unless someone else here has insight into what is going on, in my opinion and all it is an opinion, given presumed skill level, take it to a skilled professional and get a professional diagnosis. If it is something that needs soldered because is loose or needs to be replaced, best left to someone with experience. It could be something else simple. If the bass is fine then we can figure out the game side of it. Just my 2 cents.
  11. Yes, was Lost Boys 1987, by Gerard McMahon, sometimes goes by G Tom Mac and other names. Was a great movie, and great soundtrack.
  12. Is the installer put the D3DX9_42.dll in the proper folder, in the same folder with rocksmith2014.exe did you remember to put the cdlc in the dlc folder / sub folder of the dlc folder is the steam installation on the same drive as windows or on a secondary drive
  13. I just downloaded and ran the enabler, and it was also 117kb. You are using the current build of the game, this is the .dll you should be using. Is your Direct x up to date? If you are using a legit build of the game, it is updated, Direct X is up to date, the top reason for the game to get stuck at the amps on a cDLC is the .dll missing or wrong one. If you are using the current dll with the current build of the game, there is nothing more that I can think of at the moment, and you are going to have to wait for someone else, and your best bet is to go to the Discord server and seek help there.
  14. That is updated version of the game which means you need the most current D3DX9_42.dll from the current enabler. Beta version is 165.369567
  15. Good, so we know the game works. What version of Windows are you using, what version of the .dll are you using, are you using the current version of the game, with the current enabler? The situation you describe is usually what I said above, it is the wrong version of the .dll with wrong version of the game, especially if the base game is already working.
  16. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/guidelines/ Rocksmith+ Information We are not removing official songs listed in Rocksmith+ You can create CDLC for Rocksmith+ songs on CustomsForge for Rocksmith 2014 However, you cannot copy/replicate/rip charts from Rocksmith+ to Rocksmith 2014 No plans on modifying Rocksmith+ to allow CDLC as it has its own workshop. The rules for Rocksmith 2014 ODLC stay the same, as seen below. The above is subject to change at any time but as of 8/1/2021 this is our stance.
  17. There are a couple of lists, Probably the best is the lists that Riff Repeater put a list together. For Rocksmith 2011; https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-dlc/ For Rocksmith 2014; https://theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-2014-dlc/ Previously was putting a line through de-listed songs, but hasn't been updated in a few months. Just add 10 years to the list date to get the delist/delisted date. As of this post would be the Foreigner songs / Song Pack, soon on the 7th will be the Audioslave songs / song pack. There also the wiki listing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_downloadable_songs_for_Rocksmith Also https://www.gamesradar.com/rocksmith-2014-song-list/. All easily found using Google. And you can use the Ignition Search to search for a song that you are unsure of or can not remember if it is. If it is an Original DLC, it will tell you.
  18. Contrary to popular belief, that is indeed what I am here for. Glad you got it working, and thank you for letting us know it worked for you too. Nothing more frustrating than something not working the way you want or expect it to.
  19. The discord server is usually where the "better" help is. If the old cdlc works, anything else [new] should work too. Cherub Rock: a) moot / irrelevant as the new dll/ enabler bypasses the need for Cherub Rock. b) unable to be purchased as it is removed from the store to purchase. c)If previously purchased you can not re-purchase it for yourself. you own it for "life". d) In game purchase is broken because UBI has not updated it and removed some songs so that the in-store jams and locks the game when you go to a certain point where songs that are no longer available are [listed] but yet removed from the in game shop. This does bring up to me a different point, and since I was not part of any discussion in the Discord Server, I have to ask. Have you used Custom Forge song manager to change the song ID of any new song to that of another ODLC that you do own? Before uninstalling the game and re-installing, always to make a back up of all your cdlc to a different folder so that they are not lost. It is not clear to me from the above if you have already uninstalled the game completely and tried reinstalling it, or if you have used verify files to see if you have any corrupted files. You did mention the word formatting. If you have tried using the Beta version of the game, the current .dll will not work with it. You need one of the older .dlls to run the Beta. Stick with the updated version. Are you using RS mods? I recalled another individual having a similar problem; https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67574-new-cdlc-doesnt-show/ So if wanting to reinstall the game, remember to back up your cdlc as I said above.
  20. You are going to have to help us, to help you. Without mockery or malice just honesty, this reads like mud. You have in your mind what you are after, what your situation is but it isn't clear in your post what and where the difficulty lies, what knowledge you are seeking. The background you gave is fine, but doesn't really add to what the problem is. ok. You took time off from the game? guitar? Does the game work? Here is the core and crux, what is it exactly you are stumped over? Start over from scratch meaning, Reinstalling the game, or setting everything with in the game / progress to zero? if resetting progress, just delete your profile, and add a new profile. Or versa vise add a new profile, and delete your old profile. Others have had their progress reset to zero by failures on cloud sync. Why would you not be able to use new DLC? Have you recently tried adding new DLC that does not appear? Original DLC or Custom DLC?
  21. If it has been 2 years since you've played, then yes. Sept 2022 there was an update. It requires a new D3DX9_42.dll. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/cdlcenabler If this is the case, you should remove the old .dll before running the enabler. You may need to temporarily disable your anti-virus / Windows defender to download and run, and may need to move the enabler to the Rocksmith 2014 file location before running.
  22. Try this .dll if you have not purchased Cherub Rock. I was thinking this was written after the update, but it appears to work with the beta. https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZJjnk0ZL2Yfc7PPiuk69Yx7JDrOiy7dc5VV
  23. rename or move the current .dll, the game will not work with multiple D3DX9_42.dll copies or versions. https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZQVhk0Z99UmicmBpdkQ94ReG3VvEVdN5e6V I had it posted somewhere in the How to Use Custom dlc thread, it is buried somewhere in that thread. @ Nick Beat has a link on the current last page of that thread as well, (page 52) https://os5.mycloud.com/action/share/22f8a202-24e5-4d7f-82d9-d4cf4a8dcee8 You need the Cherub Rock Or a ODLC to use the Beta and previous .dll version as well. Hopefully you have that, if not you will have to use CustomForge Song Manager to change song ids to a oDLC that you own for it to work.
  24. OP never stated using RS mods. OP did state that went back to Beta. Using or not using RS mods does not change the fact that OP will still need the correct version of the D3DX9_42.dll to work. Expressing your frustration in this manner by obfuscating is not helpful to the OP. In fact, is the opposite. Nor did it help your cause. I should take the high road, but false information needs corrected [beta version / D3DX9_42.dll version]. If Op was using RS mods, then yes, it is a good idea to remove to figure out the problem, however the CDLC will still not work with an incorrect .dll version. If OP says nothing about using RS mods, RS mods not being mentioned once, How am I in denial? I don't use RS mods, sorry. Still does not change the fact in order to use CDLC the correct version of the D3DX9_42.dll needs to be used. The CDLC not showing may or may not be the same issue, we will not know until the OP responds. Congrats on getting banned. Dunno exactly what you did to get banned, nor do I care. Obviously wasn't this unhelpful post, but attacking Staff and using slurs, was not a good idea. Indeed.
