  1. Wow! Thank you, Chlipouni! That did the trick! :) Unpacking without selecting "Extract Song XML." I had assumed that without this option selected there would be no XML available. Thanks again, Chlipouni!
  2. Ahh ok, well I can't do it right now but if it still needs doing tomorrow, I'm your guy!
  3. Hey reynebc! I'm happy to help if I can. What would I be looking for exactly in the unpacked xml? Edit: I only see the xml files linked. Can't pack it without the audio can I?
  4. @@fabianosan, I appreciate what you are saying. That does seem like a feature request. If it makes any difference, the XML I was importing doesn't have any special techniques specific to RS2, it is all single notes. Are there other differences between RS! and RS2 XMLs? In any case, I did not realize EoF doesn't do RS2 XML Importing yet so I will be patient! Thanks! :)
  5. Sweet, thanks! You rock, fabianosan! :D
  6. Are there any plans to update the "Sng2Tab" section of the Toolkit to include RS2?
  7. Fantastic! Seeing your activities here and on SA it is apparent that you are incredibly responsive to your user-base, raynebc. It's a great feeling witnessing it first hand! Good on ya, mate! :)
  8. Tried it! No error is generated but the beats are set all messed up and there are no notes. Edit: In case it help here are the specifics: The track should have bpm set to 100 all the way through, what I get is bpm set to 1000, .5sec later set to 7.35bpm, then set to 100bpm for a while, then when the green cursor crosses 163 seconds it displays beats as 1000bpm again (strange behavior here it shows beats after 163sec as 100bpm until the green cursor crosses that time). All this with no notes.
  9. That sounds like it could do the trick! Can't wait to try it! :D Thank you both!!!
  10. The CDLC I unpacked is a RS2 CDLC, and I don't know what you mean by not an issue? I get an error when trying to import. That seems like an issue. Anyway, raynebc has said in the other thread that he will remove the count requirement; that may well fix my problem! :) Thank you both so much for your hard work!
  11. Thank you so much for the reply, @@fabianosan! If I understand you correctly it would appear to be an EoF issue then so I will continue the thread in that section! Thanks again! :)
  12. Hello fabianosan and the other Toolkit developers! (or anyone who might have a grasp on this situation) I have made another post in the EoF forum regarding this already: http://customsforge.com/topic/2529-importing-unpacked-xml-failure-check-log/?do=findComment&comment=13423 The gist of it is as it says in the title of this post: I unpacked a working Custom DLC using the latest toolkit (v2.5.0.0 - Nightly Build 3d3bec6a7567). Was unable to import the instrument XMLs with an error about count tags. On closer inspection the unpacked XML differs from EoF (r1304) generated XMLs in that it has no count="#" attributes. (Among other smaller differences.) I've been trying to edit the XML myself to get a working import but while I have successfully gotten the XML to import (with a lot of time consuming edits) the import still has chaotic bpm changes. Any help on resolving this for the custom I am working on and for future unpacking/importing would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! (please check the post in the EoF forum for more details!)
  13. Hello raynebc! (or anyone else who can help) I am trying to import an XML into EoF that was unpacked from a working CDLC, but I get the following error: "Failure. Check log for details." The loged error reads as so: "Error reading beat tags from XML, the "count" attribute is 0 or undefined. Aborting" The only instance of count I could find in the XML looks like this: <phrase disparity="0" ignore="0" maxDifficulty="0" name="COUNT" solo="0" /> In the chat a user told me that he found many instances of "count" in one of his XML files. Is this a lack of backwards compatibility to an old instance of EoF possibly? What steps can I take from here to get the notes imported? Thanks! Edit: I have now compared the toolkit unpacked XML with a EoF (r1304) generated XML and it seems the major difference is that the count="#" attribute is missing from the unpacked XML. Two possibilities I see for overcoming it: 1) Have EoF calculate the counts from the unpacked XML and apply them to the import. 2) Have the Toolkit export and XML with the count already included. (To this end I will make a post in the toolkit section as well!) One of these solutions or any other suggestions are very welcome! Thank you developers for all the hard work that has gone into making these tools!! :)
  14. All songs here are RS2014 for the time being! It is possible to convert .psarc files to .dat. though it is not that hard it does require some knowledge of the Editor on Fire (EoF). In case you want to attempt it here is a link to get you started: http://customsforge.com/topic/1796-converting-dat-to-psarc/ Hope that helps! :)
  15. Already exists: http://customsforge.com/topic/841-how-to-make-cdlc-full-in-depth-tut-completed/ If you think it could be better you are welcome to try and make a better post. :)

  17. This is where I will post links to my works in progress. Thanks for coming to visit my workshop! -ForgeOn Any recommendations for edits, tones, additions, or corrections is not only welcome but very much appreciated! :) Currently In Production Customs: PC: Hot Chocolate - You Sexy Thing (I Believe In Miracles) - v0.20 More Info: Lead, rhythm, and bass parts are added. The Rhythm part has been checked by me and should be correct. The lead part should be correct as well, if a bit boring; I intend to add an alternative arrangement that combines Lead and Rhythm, once everything else is correct. The bass part is still incorrect. Not Yet Added: Tones, Vocals, Sections/Phrases, Second Rhythm Guitar (The chicka chicka wah guitar, which I do not have a tab for), and an alternate lead arrangement that will be part lead and part rythm (because it's more fun that way!) Tabs Used: Ultimate-Guitar.com , Songsterr.com PC: Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Michael Jackson Edit) - v0.26 More Info: Two guitar parts and two bass parts added. Default bass is 4 string, bonus arrangement is 5 string. Default Rhythm guitar has a much more complete arrangement than I can do by ear; it may not be completely accurate but it should be in tune and on rhythm! The Bonus Arrangement for rhythm guitar only has chord changes (so you can improvise the struming) and should have correct pitch and accurate timing. All parts may have some sections and phrases (possibly inaccurate). Vocals have also been added! They are accurate though I may need to remoce some "+" and "~" signs. Not Yet Added: Tones, Lead guitar (may have to do this by ear), Final Sections/Phrases Tabs Used: Ultimate-Guitar.com , Songsterr.com - transposed up a tone (whole step) Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkCn-iWLiSE EoF Files: Hot Chocolate - You Sexy Thing (I Believe In Miracles) Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Michael Jackson Edit) Finished There's nothing here. (Yet! :) ) Abandoned There's nothing here. (Hopefully we keep it that way!) Wish List Mumford And Sons - I Will Wait Of Monsters And Men - Little Talks Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into The Dark
  18. Have you tried renaming the xml to "REAL_GUITAR.xml" ?
