That is absolutely ok. Though you might be surprised - your guitar might have no issues with that tuning if you give it a shot. I personally like to play over my Amps sound - so a pitched tone will be useless for me. I always play in the real songs tuning but i use an extra guitar for each tuning (which helps to have at least some of them being played sometimes) Rod.
