  1. Lol! I've never seen that before. It's about my level too...
  2. I reckon the Back to the Future version has twice as many notes in (well, not quite). As you say, the original version is much more civilised. The extra notes are not necessary. :)
  3. Second go on this ('cos I wasn't really concentrating the first time) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKUTBqZUFEQko2OFU/view?usp=sharing First go (forgot I was in LAS): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKa2NVdmozV3RUbjg/view?usp=sharing Second go (just because it deserved a second go): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKNEdIZFNwRmREaVE/view?usp=sharing And guess what I'm going to be learning to do this week? I wondered when this week was going to come up. I did get a 95% on the Supergroove, but I don't count it as I cheated. I got fed up with trying to slap and pop half way through and reverted to playing fingerstyle. I mean, I might as well play with a pick.
  4. I've just got 99% on Johnny B. Goode. So either I've got better or it's a 6... RIP Chuck, thank you for the music. Edit: Followed by a second play 100%, so maybe even a five? The Beg/Int/Adv bass songs are in the right order though.
  5. The Marty McFly version Lead was played week 64 - in Advanced Class.
  6. Johnny B. Goode is at least a 7 or an 8 on bass. We've played it twice before, so I should now by now, but I don't. I'll check the old spreadsheet. Edit: Of course, we played the Marty McFly version... Last played week 168, and it was rated a 7, which could have easily been an 8. I don't think the bass on the MM version is hugely different to the original, but I may be wrong... I could go downstairs and try it with headphones, I guess. :bulb:
  7. Are ye going off to chapel, to celebrate the life of the great saint himself? Did you know that there are no snakes in Ireland? That little discovery has been keeping me amused all day. Anyway, it's amazing what slightly less fret buzz will do for you: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKenp3U2MyNEEzWlE/view?usp=sharing I've still got some work to do on the set-up, but fully intend to give it another go tomorrow. Then I'll probably decide that I don't really like all the songs I have in C Standard, and settle for D Standard again (Ghost, Volbeat etc...)
  8. I really have tried tonight. But sometimes I've got to admit that playing the same song, over and over again, and making, not the same, but different bloody mistakes again, is just not doing me any good. I also had to adjust the truss rod in my low-tuning bass, because although it's fine in D Standard, the fret buzz in C was driving me up the wall. So after a go on the re-setup low-tuning bass, and doing no better, I gave up and played a load of Foo Fighters stuff. :) I still love this place.
  9. Oh, here we go again: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKYmhSUXBXS0RVRlE/view?usp=sharing Actually, no. I only managed one 99.34% tonight. I just wasn't consistent enough: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKcWk0QW51d2tPT0U/view?usp=sharing Nice streak, but I buggered it up at the end. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKYldrNjNVVFFWZjg/view?usp=sharing
  10. It sounds like it might be conflicting with another CDLC. I'd try it on its own - remove all the other CDLCs from your folder (apart from Cherub Rock, of course). Then see if you can play it more than once?
  11. I play a lot better when my bass is in tune... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKdEdrWUNkNkptN3c/view?usp=sharing
  12. First goes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKaEJBMDlCUGlna1U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKem9tcUQ1TjVZbms/view?usp=sharing I normally like Aria, but I didn't like this one, sorry: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKZlRVbHVxTW5RR2c/view?usp=sharing On a more positive note, I very much like this one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKYW5sLTZtR2t0XzQ/view?usp=sharing and I'd almost convinced myself I could play it. :D
  13. I notice there's a gap in uploads to ignition, from 5th March? Do people who uploaded while there were problems need to upload again?
  14. @@NoonyDeloony - I think you should buy your number 1 son a drum kit... @@mackaybre - I started playing a guitar (of sorts ;) ) about 40 years ago... Move on up and hang on in there. :D
  15. First goes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKaUVrYldkYk83U0U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKcUQzZV9sQzlmNnc/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKTUtJZnVFRndtbUE/view?usp=sharing And I made it through: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKaF8yWmhjbXZaOFU/view?usp=sharing Let's see if I can make it through the chords on SA tomorrow...
  16. It is only £2.39. But you can struggle with some other DLC that you've bought, if you like. ;)
  17. I'm not sure it was worth the effort: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKTEdSZUlmYXBNbmM/view?usp=sharing And here's one from earlier, when it was my class; I may still give it another go though. ;) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKNUdueGtOY2JaY0k/view?usp=sharing /look at that streak!
  18. I cannot post on the song selection list thread, so I'm just putting this here. I noticed my comment for ELO had been moved onto the wrong song. So I've moved it back. There is however a "hole" in the formatting where I've moved it from the Krakatit song. I've left this hole, just so you know.
  19. There is such a thing as a "tune up", yeah, but it is even easy to do this yourself (instructions on the same web page I posted earlier). But having said that, it's not a bad thing to have it done at a shop the first time - at least then you've got some sort of set-up to copy! If you can speak to the technician at all, ask them to tell you what they've done to it. It's a good way to learn. :)
  20. Just to prove I wasn't cheating, and to stay in MC this week, my SA score: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKRWZVcFR5UDVpd2c/view?usp=sharing I fear it may be at least six months of just fighting to stay in the class (just like three years ago when I somehow got into Advanced too early). But I will fight to stay here. :) In the meantime, 'cos I'm in D Standard... and I'm done with the CS D Standard songs this week, I've been playing some Volbeat... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKM3l1Q2h5MEN0eVU/view?usp=sharing
  21. I thought it was something like that. Thanks for clarifying. I've no doubt that some of my issues are due to technique, as well. I'm just more used to the tension in my strings when I'm playing E Standard... which is why I've now got a dedicated drop tuning bass, with heavier gauge strings on. :)
  22. I can't see how intonation would cause this issue? Surely if a bass is tuned on open strings - playing those open strings leads to being in tune? It's only when you play further up the dusty end of the neck the tuning goes out, if your intonation's out? @@dalenichol - try tuning the bass a little bit low. This works a little. Why? I don't know!
  23. I haven't been able to play any of the Championship songs this evening, because I've spent between 7 and 8pm being sold a new front door. On a positive note, I spent between 7 and 8pm selling Rocksmith 2014 Remastered to my front door salesman... including an impromptu performance of "Sweet Child o' Mine". He may find his way here soon. In the meantime, I've paid £1130 for a new composite front door. Have I been done?
