  1. I remember this week. Love Goodnight Moon. I remember looking through my dad's guitar tabs folder and this was one that was in there. Man, I wish I would have picked up guitar when we was still around. Megadeath always makes think I should practice my phyrigian scales. And how is Dead End Friends harder than Megadeath? (We already had that discussion if I recall)
  2. Not feeling very advanced today...
  3. I really enjoyed that! Your guitar playing is is just so ON, it just really held things together and propelled your song forward. And the tone was fantastic, just good and growly! Top notch production top to bottom.
  4. Do share if you use SampleTank, I haven't messed with it at all. I loved your idea about panning your guitar left and right and then panning the reverb to the other side. I want to try that! Just to add on to that, I was taught that delay and reverb should always be a "send" to another bus and the reverb or delay affected on that bus. That allows you to adjust the wet/dry mix for the effect and have multiple tracks with the same delay or reverb. So I'm guessing you are sending the reverb to another bus and panning that bus.
  5. Phenomenal Rodman, I love how you push things to be bigger and better. You are fearless! Really enjoyed this, glad you are doing more with mixing and all that. I don't know man, just wow! It feels like a complete production! If you are liking the Modo Drums, Humble Bundle has a Ultimate Music Production bundle with six or seven drum kits and some bass kits for Modo Bass. The T-Racks plugins are super useful too. The bundle is only $30, quite the value in my opinion. I'm just coming up for air from my 3d printed guitar project, so I have some covers to go back and listen to! Keep up the great work everyone!
  6. I can never play this style!
  7. Just getting to the song...just too busy this week
  8. The filament is a dualsilk, and they are eye catching with the two color mix. They are more brittle than standard PLA filament, so we will see if it is a poor choice in the long term. This is Mark I, I'm not sure what Mark II will look like. They have wood infused PLA that I might like to try... @ Rodman is is a different league, his was amazing! Mine was kit parts and this 3d design is based on the modulcaster on printables.com. However, Mark II is the real goal. My project group (for a class I'm taking) is going to redesign it to hold some more electronics, so we are all learning CAD. We will see what it looks like! I like that design, The wood center makes sense. I considered either a wood core, or metal rods in mine, but in the end I wanted to see how the material holds up. Typically things are printed with 2 loops for the sides, and 2-3 layers for the top and bottom, and the rest is a grid-like infill. I printed the core with 7 loops for the walls, and 7 layers for the top and bottom. Time will tell if it is strong enough. I have to say, the newer BambuLab printers take a lot of the work out of 3d printing. They are amazing and take a lot of the fiddly-ness out of 3d printing!
  9. My project is at a point where I want to share it. I 3d printed a guitar body and paired it with a kit guitar neck and electronics to make a playable electric guitar. I even cut my own "signature" headstock It is assembled from 7 printed parts The side pieces attach with nuts imbedded in the core piece. I paused the printer at the layer right before it seals up the cavities for the nuts. A closeup of the pattern on the surface. It was rougher than I wanted, so I covered it with a piece of aluminum foil and ran a hot iron over it to smooth the plastic. That was tricky, because any wrinkle in the foil transferred to my surface. I set it up, adjusted the pickup heights, and it plays! I've never had a Tele (as you can probably guess by my backwards switchplate) but I am blown away by how good it sounds! Perhaps I will use it on one of my covers in the near future.
  10. Some scores, didn't put in any work, I have another project that has been taking all of my time...more to come on that later perhaps.
  11. Oh Rod, those are the moments! Treasure them! Awesome, her singing, your guitar work, first rate. Really enjoyed that!
  12. Bravo! It is strange, I feel like I just heard your voice after being pen pals for years. Glad you gave this a try!
  13. I use Bias FX on PC and while I got it thinking I could customize stuff like crazy, really I use presets a lot and tweak them. The Celestion speaker collection punches above its weight, they sound better than the other speakers in Bias.
  14. Holy cow, what a writeup! My work here is done. Serious kudos man, this is so enabling! And yes, Reaper keeps working after the 60 days, it just puts up a nag screen for 10 seconds each load. But is seriously good for the price. I bought it just to support them.
  15. I am pretty sure you can use the Realtone cable as a very basic audio interface. If there is interest I will dig mine out and see if I can get it to work with Reaper for basic recording.
  16. +1 to @ Mikson 's first cover!
  17. I love themed weeks And the choice of Space Oddity, nice! I was listening to Star Rider and thought I hadn't placed Space Oddity recently. I'm still working on Iron Man, my bassist ditched me for work this weekend. I haven't touched bass in a long time, so this ought to be interesting.
  18. That was great! Man, the drums, bass and guitar all just hit right on hammering out that riff! I like your squeals, and the outgoing solo does have a desperate feeling. You always distill something out of a song something that in integral to the song that I would have missed. Loved it my friend!
  19. I thought it was a great effort! Your bass part really propelled the song forwards, great timing with it. It had a good flow and was enjoyable to listen to!
  20. I love the tone on the intro, it sounds like a California desert somehow. Keep up the experimenting!
