Bass improvements: We have the same riffs as in the guitar path, but on the bass they are even harder. The long part of the opening riff strains my hand too much. It gets even worse in the final parts.

Do you use a custom tone? Can't believe, the tone sounds terrible. I could possibly use it instead of distortion tones, but when a song uses mostly clean tones, I think my ears would fall off. I will try to set the levels in the mixer properly to hear my playing better. Hard to believe but I don't have any amps, although I plan to change that.

I've played this a few times in Learn a song mode and a few times in SA mode and I give up... On the last attempt I lowered music volume to 50% to hear myself playing and it didn't sound good in fast riff parts. So I humbly accept the last place.

This is my max, a very high level of competition this year, so no chance to win.

I checked this and this can be played, as in the chart, takes some practice and practiced in stretching your fingers. The rest of the song is quite easy so I would rate this 4.5. Other bass scores.

To be honest, I haven't tested the bass path in this song. I tested the guitar parts a long time ago and bass rating was done by @ jellisjenius and I chose this because I know he does rather good bass difficulty ratings. And I think as @ It Happens1 wrote you can add +5 frets and go a string higher (in Rosksmith view). Then it should be much easier, and from what I can see in the screen, there is plenty of time to prepare to play the chord.

Yes, The Curtain Falls from the same album. I must say that I really like this album, although I got to know it recently, before that I listened mainly to newer recordings. And I think I like The Same River the most from this album, because I'm generally a fan of long 10+ minutes of varied compositions. Unfortunately there is no CDLC for this track.

Better Rhythm:

Are you playing this with a pick? Because that's how it was originally played. Although probably someone who plays mostly with fingers prefers to play this way.

The rules have been the same for a long time (from the beginning?) with minor changes. So of course you can show screenshots from attemps in Learn a Song as well as Score Attack. The main difference is the accuracy score, which is entered into the leaderboard. 16. If you play LAS (Learn a Song), you percentage will be always, xx.00%(example %99.00), if you prefer SA (Score Attack), your percentage will always be xx.xx%(example 99.02%). So with very tight competition, it's easier to win when you play in SA mode. Btw. I've never encountered bugs while playing in SA mode. Maybe you have some mods that cause this?

The first two are old screenshots from testing. I hope I made good difficulty rating then. I was wondering why this is in D-Std, since there is no note lower than 3 on the E string. Besides, I doubt Riverside would play in any other tuning than E-Std. It turned out that the E-Std version is added as an alternate lead, so you can play both versions because it's the same chart. I tried the original tuning. It worked, but I lost some notes due to recognition. @ nlbsmglsk I've seen this solo in the rhythm path, but overall I think both guitar paths have a very similar difficulty level, so I'll leave it as is to avoid confusion.

Last updates: I have to say that this song cost me some nerves. SA for fun.

Some parts are weirdly charted for me. Using 1 or 2 strings and flying multiple frets. I fought for 90% of what was my goal and now I'm giving up.

Some Bass 99% seems out of my reach. What a fun!

Rhythm: I don't agree with @ Rodman that Rytmn is more difficult than Lead. Rating 7.5 for Lead and 7 for Rhythm is rather ok. A really fun song from a band I didn't know. Thanks @ jellisjenius for discovering this.

I played this a long time ago during testing. Middle part is not so easy (5.5-6). Oh, it's going to be hard for me to compete here. Pretty fast and chaotic chart (7.5). This is very nice vibes. Unfortunately, no hand shapes in the arpeggio parts meant that I didn't know how to play them (8).

Ahh another year has passed - my second full one (I started competing in spring 2020). I didn't expect to win again on all three paths. The key is, first of all, to compete regularly and not miss championship weeks. I have no doubt that @ avastreg would beat me in a all-year competition in lead path, but he competed too short in my class. In the bass path there was a really tight competition with @ jellisjenius , I can see your continuous progress, so next year could be yours if you don't let it go! Yes, I remember when you and @ diceslinger promised to fight and beat me in one of the paths. It's a pity that Dice stopped competing pretty quickly this year. Thanks for kind words! The hardest part is competing with you in songs that have a chart with lots of power chords and quick changes those chords. Then I lose most of the time. Ah too bad, these are always hard times.
