@ hepcecob Hmm, that's curious. I don't know the answer to that one (mainly Mac myself).... If someone else can't help you here, I would suggest asking through the Discord channels. They are monitored more than this is and you can usually get a helpful response in short order.

I fixed it :
I downloaded CustomForge Song Manager
I changed all the IDs from Cherub Rock (default when downloading CLDC) to a Volbeat ID (Since I already had that DLC) -> resulting in CDLC showing up again. Thanks for letting us know; that's the thing to do, on PC (on Mac there is a utility just for that; see https://github.com/glebb/rocksmithconvert/.

Are you using PC or Mac?
…
Having Cherub Rock is no longer needed, in fact no dlc is now required with the latest patch (cdlc enabler).
Sorry we had power out.
siunds from OP post, PC.
Just for the record, on Mac you still need an ODLC and must run the converter tool if you don’t have Cherub Rock.

@ PC Plum Always appreciate hearing success stories ! Thanks a lot!

@ Jay2019 rhanks for the feedback. It always helps to keep us informed on new issues and solutions so that the info can be used later. And we also appreciate when people do a little bit of digging into the recent path, it eases the load
Seems there’s always a twist on something previously solved!

Thank you, Sniper. I truly appreciate your efforts to help me and your commitment to finding a solution.
I followed your advice and read through all of Nick's and your posts about DLLs, starting on page 45. On page 41, I finally located the correct DLL. This is the link that worked for me.
What’s puzzling to me is that the Enabler should have got you the same result. Guess as long as it works it doesn’t matter!

If he is using Windows the latest installer does not require a oDLC. (Refer to your Nov 23 post.) Would need to verify as you said if the installer was run, and if it put the .dll in the main folder that has the rocksmith.exe, and that the cdlc was indeed put into the DLC folder.
Thanks. I have a mind like a sieve and it's hard to scroll back on iPhone... Appreciate the clarifications! I knew Cherub Rock wasn't a requirement, wasn't sure about having one just for the sake of having bought one. Now I know... until I forget again

@ GHST316 Did you run the installer? (I assume PC means Windows; the latest installer should take care of the various CPU configurations and doesn’t require rekeying to Cherub Rock. You *may* need at least one purchased DLC—I’m on Mac so @ Sniper Reload3d can maybe help here.
Also, none of this will work unless it’s a purchased copy of RS (I mention it for completeness).

OK, I Can Not figure out how to get CustomsForge to work with Steam and Rocksmith 2014 Remastered for the life of me on my PC. I've been trying for years now. …
Ok, no worries. Let’s take it one step at a time.
1. Start with a fresh, clean RS u der Steam. Get rid of the thing and re-download through Steam. We want to get rid of any invisible hiccups.
2. Make sure RS runs normally.
3. IF it does, run the latest installer for PC. If you get any guff about viruses you’ll just have to swallow hard and go ahead. (If you can’t proceed at this point, let us know.
4. Repeat step 2.
If you get past step 4 we’ll worry about CDLC next.
Sorry about the pedantry, but it’s the best road to success….

@ Vjeshitza Well, how about that, for once a straightforward fix!!
Glad you’ve got it working, and thanks for letting us know!

I’m not a windows expert, but:
1. The installer may know about the CPU or not, but it won’t hurt to try it (you may get virus warning but that’s also discussed recently , not an issue)
2. if you look up you can find someone with the high thread CPU and how and where to get the right patch, which you can place manually.
Just make sure you don’t have two there.

Thought it was covered in the/your video as well but as I didn't see he that had, I mentioned it in my last post.
Well... there's a lot of stuff, so things can drop out in reading. That's another good reason for the FAQ type of thing. It's hard to keep track of what was said or not on here....

@ Sniper Reload3d FYI, @ Ballhooter got it working. It was suggested on Discord that the app IDs be changed to one he had. I thought we'd already covered that, but, whatever, it's now working, which is why we're not hearing more about it now.
Another happy customer

When and how did you obtain Cherub Rock?
Ah, yes. There’s that. And… not the root folder, the DLC folder for Cherub Rock. CDLC go in a subfolder of the DLC folder.
sorry to say the “flu” or whatever it is is at me again, so I likely will not be monitoring much

@ Nick Beat Hope you are feeling better!
@ Sniper Reload3d Thank you for your help.
I tried your suggestions, but still not seeing any of the CDLC files showing up. Only the ones I had before (bobmtre, elvisusp, funsome, jackiwan, outkheyy, traidrop). I added cherubrock to this directory (originally was in the 'Song Pack I' folder). I also got rid of the _p file (since I'm on a mac).
I now have cherubrock_m in the root folder and other _m songs in the 'Song Pack I' folders.
Still no CDLC songs are showing up. I'm guessing it is usually easier than this... Thank you for the help.
Hmmm. Ok, I’m going to suggest you head to the Discord group (see below an at top of page and visit #mac-os. You can ask there, @Ping_for_mac_os is the expert. Sorry we couldn’t get it fixed

Thanks. I have memory issues and I know we zipped it the other day just wasn’t sure whether I hosted it that way or not. The new page will be really helpful when I put stuff there in an organised fashion…

ok this downloaded but i dont have an app that can open it . i am running windows 10
If you mean unzip, just find an unzip utility online. There are all kinds, done with free trial.
if it’s a DLL file, you don’t open it, you put it in the folder where Rocksmith.exe is.
(sorry, I can’t remember whether I zipped it or not and I can’t go check right now)

If you are using a mac I do not know the steps. If you are using a PC you may have to temporarily stop your anti-virus, or disable or make and exclusion for Window's Defender.T
If PC you could give him the NAS links. I’d do it but it’s had to do much on an iPhone and the computer isn’t accessible to me just now…. (Even answering here is a pain on a phone)

No apologies needed. As you know it takes an admin to edit the posts. And they are all quite busy, but as you and I know, they are aware of it.
Yes. I had an email exchange with him on this and referenced you by at sign in the last message. There’s no CC option, it seems, so was hoping that would get you a copy.

They are working on it. If you notice the .dll stand alone has been removed for the time being.
Oh? My apologies, got it wrong, then. Well, good!

Your English is fine!
Replacing the installer will not damage anything. Thats is the first thing I would suggest.
