  2. firekorn's post in is there a way.. was marked as the answer
@@fetal_icecream You will have to unpack and edit the xml of each path to adjust the tuning and then repack the whole CDLC with the toolkit. It's not that hard but if you have no idea what half of what i said mean, you should probably ask the author to fix it on their end for everyone to enjoy.
  3. firekorn's post in X instead of percentage played correctly was marked as the answer

  6. firekorn's post in What does D3DX9_42.dll do ? was marked as the answer
@@csirke all official DLC have a specific ID that correspond to that specific song (a 6 digit code), the game only recognize the song for which the ID correspond to an ID you own which is why customs songs will show up if you own Cherub Rock and as long as the CDLC have the same ID as Cherub Rock even without the dll.

The dll allow you to bypass a check code inside the game that has to do with checking if the song is actually the one corresponding to the ID (i'm not sure what are the exact check done by the game though).

  10. firekorn's post in Tone switch with a delay not working properly was marked as the answer
Overall seems fine but the length of the tone name is something i'm a bit afraid off as the toolkit like to truncate things here and there.

In EOF, go to track => rocksmith => tone change => names and from there you can rename the two tones with shorter name (like "clean" and "delay") and repacking from there.

Note sure if that's the actual issue but it's worth a try imo.
  11. firekorn's post in Capo on and off was marked as the answer
RS can't in any way have the capo changed in the middle of a song so there's nothing to try.
  12. firekorn's post in Custom tunings? was marked as the answer
@@ZachOps The value are the number of half step the user will have to change so from E to D there's 2 step down (aka -2)

    So for a C drop A#, it's -6 -4 -4 -4 -4 -4 from the low E to high e.

Note that it's easier to do it directly into EOF than in the toolkit and will be less work if you have to update your CDLC. Note that EOF should import the proper tuning when you import a GP file which will make your life a lot easier to if you start from an already made GP file.
  13. firekorn's post in Problem with custom tuning was marked as the answer
@@Brutus Erectus I don't care much about the psarc itself it's more the EOF and the resulting XML that are interesting to look at cause the psarc is the end product of the xml which is likely where we'll see if it's EOF or the toolkit that is doing something that it shouldn't.

Obviously if RS interpret it as E std, it's because the psarc is in E std, the question is why and only the EOF and xml files can answer that.
  14. firekorn's post in moving the fretboard position in EOF was marked as the answer
You need to put section in your CDLC if you want the camera to move.

  16. firekorn's post in Rocksmith Remastered - Not loading DLC was marked as the answer
With the sound of it, it seems like you don't actually own Cherub Rock or it would have been automatically downloaded when you re-installed Rocksmith like any other ODLC you own.
  17. firekorn's post in Can EOF do a extended sustained notes? was marked as the answer
What do you mean by extended?

If you want the sustain to cross over other note, you have to use the crazy status ("t").
  18. firekorn's post in My cdlc not updating and how to i fix this bar was marked as the answer
That top bar is what show sections, so it indicates a lack of proper section all along the track (i talk about it in the part II)2.b of my tutorial)

As for the fact it's not properly reflecting the change you made, it's hard to say just like that but you could always delete the xml file to make sure EOF properly recreate them when you save, if not i would look into the expor preferences of EOF.

It should at least eliminate a good part of the options and with the newly create xml, i would first try to generate the psarc and see if it works before trying anything else.
  19. firekorn's post in What tracks in EOF do I put bonus arrangements on? was marked as the answer
@@lduperval you don't need to use different EOF files, you have 5 arrangement available in EOF which is the maximum amount of arrangement available in RS remastered so create all your arrangement in the same EOF file and when adding the arrangement in the toolkit just check the box for the arrangement that you want to see as bonus arrangement, if you don't check the box but have two arrangement on the same path, the arrangement won't be called "bonus" but "alternate" instead ingame.

    See the "adding section" part

And it's the space between A and intro that is not an alphanumeric character because it's not a letter (alpha) or a number (numeric).

  22. firekorn's post in Creating dive bombs or slide outs in EoF? was marked as the answer
@ You want to use unpitched slides (CTRL+SHIFT+"U") and for the fret value "0" will always cause issue cause the end of a slide can never get to the open fret. So either put 1 or something a little higher as the ending fret to get the effect you want in RS.
