Cannot Import Guitar Pro 7 File

I don't know if this has been asked before, but it seems like EOF cannot import any Guitar Pro 7 files due to a change in format. Which format should we save in to get around this problem?

@@renjer EOF doesn't support GPx format (GP6 or GP7 default format), you need to export the GP5 file to be able to import it.

I've been told Guitar Pro 7 can't save in GP5 format. You can save it in GPX (Guitar Pro 6's format) and then use another program like Tux Guitar to open the GPX file and export in GP5 format.

@@raynebc indeed it can't, just made the update and it only able export to GPx format.

 

If you want i can give you some .gp (GP7 file format) to look at with their gp5 equivalent to see if the format is easier to deal with than gpx but i doubt it is...

I think it's a safe bet that's the case.

@@raynebc kinda bringing up a dead topic but GP7 had a recent update which allow user to export to the GP5 format so things are back to normal and user don't need to have two version of GP to be able to get a working format for EOF :)
