  1. I've unlocked a lot of things by playing custom on score attack (almost one unlock by song played).
  2. As you say, it's like a kickstarter in a way, and to be fair, you have to be crystal clear about the money you ask for, what you intend to do with it how much time it might take and all sorts of other information important for the people who donate (Mac version availabel or not for exemple). The problem is that knowing all those kind of information is hard and often not really accurate (who can know exactly how much money will cost a project like that?). So the donations are mostly based on trust and the hardest part here is not money but people who wants to work on it in my opinion.
  3. If you don't care that much just play and you'll unlock them at one point.
  4. because you shouldn't put section between note... section are part or the song construction and should only be put on the first bar of a measure.
  5. An extension for the cable either on the USB (with a HUB for exemple) or in the Jack part should not modify the way the cable act, if RS tells you that there is a problem with the output device, you might want to check the audio parameter in the .ini RS file. Set the audio exclusivity on unless you want to record yourself. RS doesn't act correctly with non-onboard audio card, try using RS with the onboard card of your PC. Apart from this maybe try checking RS file with steam because having those issue isn't normal, this message should only pop-up when RS isn't the active software.
  6. Always keep your tools up to date. And yeah this is not normal at all. the bar are in the same place whatever the arrangement you're on and moving bars in an arrangement always moves it in all the arrangement this is the way EOF works. The question about Sections as phrases doesn't matter in this case, whatever the answer you choose, EOF will act the same way about the beatmap (which won't change at all during GP import).
  7. If you move a beat, it moves in all arrangements in EOF, the fact that it doesn't isn't normal. Can you clarify what you call a "bar" and how do you move it?
  8. You can't easily, you should unpack the song, rework with eof to setup the capo, then repack all of it. It's not that hard but ask the author first so that everybody else can enjoy the song correctly before trying to fix everyone's work without any approval.
  9. This weeks songs are bitches :D Lead MC 89.92% streak 90 http://i.imgur.com/N7jAQVe.jpg Rhythm MC 85.28% streak 202 (i fucking hate arpeggios!) http://i.imgur.com/aGkrEJ7.jpg Bass MC 97.7% streak 148 http://i.imgur.com/ttAeeg4.jpg And just for fun Lead INT 93.78% streak 156 http://i.imgur.com/hurIHsm.jpg Rhythm INT 92.28% streak 50 (some chords didn't register because RS didn't want too...) http://i.imgur.com/AJPvLg9.jpg Bass INT 99.33% streak 273 http://i.imgur.com/sQqRUG4.jpg And no score for BEG because the lead was fucking too hard for a BEG songs and got 3 crosses on my first try so i simply quit on this one :)
  10. Looking at all the tutorial available there's some for pretty specific part of the charting process and what you refer to getting the BPM is mostly named as syncing and creating a beatmap. If you have any problem with understanding a tutorial, say it! or the tutorial won't get any better.
  11. Writting a tab is a pain in the ass whatever tool you use i prefer to do it with GP for multiple reason and mostly because it is actually made for this and works like a charm but EOF can work for this too. You have to know that you need a perfect beat map in EOF to chart directly in it or it will be a hell of a time to get all things right and since i see many people struggling with beat i seriously think GP is the way to go since all you need is put an approximate bpm then correct everything in EOF according to the song.
  12. There's already some CDLC with backing track (search for multi-track) available around here if you want.
  13. EOF doesn't support GPX format. You should save it as a GP5 format so that EOF can import it.
  14. http://customsforge.com/topic/2336-tone-switch A quick search in the forum could have given you the answer ;)
  15. simply don't use the same BPM, i'm pretty sure that's due to a difference on how the BPM is set between EOF and GP, i think GP might have a BPM set for the 8th note while EOF is set for a quarter note which lead to some serious problem when you try to combine the same BPM based on a quite different unit.
  16. Waveform graph is just a representation of the sounds, it's absolutely correct no matter what. If it's wrong in EOF or in RS, it's wrong in both! The toolkit doesn't change anything to the sync or the note and the BPM indication doesn't need to be exact in the toolkit. The toolkit doesn't change the xml file generated by EOF! You can have BPM variation in EOF it's not a problem at all. IF the BEATMAP is in sync in EOF, and the note correctly snap to the grid there's no possibility for the note to become un-sync in RS! I strongly suggest you make sure that the beatmap (and the note that should be snapped to it) in EOF is correct in the first place.
  17. it's not due to the number of cdlc but some particular cdlc. Some people have over 1000 customs and RS works fine (just take a shit load of time to enumarate the downloadable content but that's perfectly normal). To see some known cdlc that provoke the corrupted save file take a look here : http://customsforge.com/topic/4863-list-of-crashers-jammers-dead-toners-and-misc-problems/
  18. Cédric from france. I've start playing trombone at the age of 7 and played in an orchestra for about 8 years and learn a lot in music theory at the same time. The funny thing is that I came to buy my first (and only for the moment) guitar right after I've bought Rock Band 3 to play along the pro guitar track an it was quite funny then I heard of Rocksmith but I had to wait till 2013 to get it and I didn't hesitate much looking at all the review available. From there I never stopped playing guitar. I've been a bit at SA at the time but the place didn't feel right and I tried to do a custom but never get even close to finish it so even if I did download some custom to play different songs I didn't stick to it and I never was a part of SA community. And when I heard of RS 2014 I pre-ordered it blindly because I know the time i'll pass on this game will be worth the price. Not so long ago I've started to getting bored of the songs available and wanting to play some of my favorite band so I've started looking for SA and learn on reddit that it was going down and that CF existed. So I've started to used the tutorial to create my own custom before trying to participate in the forum. And I made it this time! I've finished the custom, published it, updated it and make another one and another one and starting to participate in the forum to help people to get their job done. then I started to go in the chat and from there I think I've lost it. I just can't stop being part of this amazing community and helping as much as I can. And I never stopped playing guitar, my usual 1 hour session is almost always streamed every day while discussing with people in the chat and trying new customs. I would have never think how good I could play guitar in only 3 years and can barely imagine how far I can go with the tools and the customs and the awesome people here. PS : i'm an asshole but if people know how to read and search i can help you as much as you want :D
  19. Good song and love Black Sabbath guitar part since they seems easy but they finally aren't. Lead 82% and 66 streak http://i.imgur.com/rBmnUvR.jpg Rhythm 93% and 103 streak http://i.imgur.com/0AeVSHB.jpg Bass 93.54% and 47 streak http://i.imgur.com/pieCkq3.jpg Not so bad for a first try i might even be able to get the lead and rhythm on score attack.
  20. A tremolo in music doesn't correspond to the "tremolo bar" name give to what is in fact a whammy bar if you want to name it correctly... The tremolo indication in EOF doesn't correspond in anyway to what actually do a tremolo bar on your guitar! And RS doesn't handle negative bend or any kind of effect lowering the pitch of the note but it does handle tremolo as in music notation which is simply the fact that you have to pick the note multiple times during the whole sustain.
  21. You can't because RS doesn't support tremolo bar or any kind of equivalent so it does not exist in EOF either as far as i know.
  22. On disc songs don't need to be there they are integrated in some other file. the p or m stands for PC or Mac, if you play on PC you only need the p.psarc if you play on mac you need the m.psarc. Steam just download both because it's easier for them.
  23. The p.psarc file is the song, you just have to put it in the dlc folder which is inside the rocksmith 2014 usual path (where you put the .dll). The appID of almost every single cdlc here are the cherub rock one so you shouldn't have to do anything about that.
