lead: Rhythm: bass: Tried playing with a pick, dunno what happened, but half the notes didn't register.

I dunno how it SHOULD be played, but I just mute the A string with the fretting finger. I mean I press on the E string and angle my finger so that it rests on the A, without pressing it too hard. It helps if you have fat fingers like me.

Seems like everybody loves in flames, maybe I should give them another try... My favorite band from this week is definitely Haken. Also google won't let me download the RHCP and Mary Chain songs. Is it just me, or did their policy change or something? Turns out I can't even make an account without giving them my phone number. Anyways, it's a busy week for me so no sight reads. I'm probably going to just post the mc scores on Saturday, but here's the only competitive one I got so far:

I was kinda hoping you would stay on the harder version. I think the difference in difficulty is mostly the lack of the middle arpeggio part in the lead. The riffs are mostly the same and the solos are comparable imo.

This version is definitely better. But now that everybody is playing different versions there's bound to be confusion.... Anyway: IMO the lead part is 7 - 7.5, rhythm 8 and bass 8, at least compared to previous weeks.

I've played Maiden songs before, but it was mostly the older stuff @ GeoAbraxas Not a problem, I have to replay the mc songs many times each week for a good score anyways.

This was a purposeful artistic decision. Pure genius. You just don't get it, man....

Bass: I have a feeling that this goes out of sync in the second half. First time playing chords on bass. Missed most of them. I'm too tired to do dopesmoker again. Maybe tomorrow.

Rhythm: It's an 8 max imo. Same for the lead part. Lead: I do not recommend playing this without the required smoke.

1. Please don't get the impression that the work you put in is not appreciated. The song selection is great, all of them are fun to play, and the theme tying them together makes it even more interesting. 2. The 420 thing is just a dumb meme. There's no deep symbolism in it. 3. If it ever gets to week 1337 remember to put some hacker themed songs in.
