  1. 1. I agree with @ luckyoldme , you should add some tunes to the selection list. Especially beginner tracks are needed, so if you can pls post them. 2. This is my opinion, but I don't think I'm alone in this: listening to a song is different to playing it. Some of the songs from here that I find most fun to play I never listen to outside of RS. Sometimes as song that's not that great to listen to is really great to play along. Sometimes there's some really funky stuff going on that you don't notice till you try to play it. And even if you don't like the song after playing it, it's still better than doing 'exercises' imo. All I'm saying is I found some real gems here in songs I'd never listen to twice. Maybe you'd find some too if you gave them a chance. I mean, what do you got to lose by trying a song, 3-5 minutes? Seems like a low investment, high reward kinda deal. tl;dr I recommend you give a chance even to the songs you don't like on first listen. PS. Typing while drunk is pain. Sorry if it's incoherent.
  2. A bit better after a couple of tries. I really like this one.
  3. It's 4 am here and I'm drunk, but I'm gonna post anyway. | My new theory is that RS is just not suited to represent arpeggios in a readable way. Makes it harder instead of easier. By comparison, the solos are way easier to sight-read. Feels much less frustrating, but maybe that's just me.
  4. If you mean the verse riff, then I'd wager it's the rhythm and not the speed. The hand movements aren't really faster than what a pop punk band would do, it's the weird timing, and the drumming doesn't help. Try listening to it and counting out loud, you'll see what I mean.
  5. I couldn't test the bass part for the Trivium song, my bass doesn't go that low, so I left the original rating and it's a bonus. Also, the usual thing about the ratings.

  7. Sight read, but not really, since I know where the rhythm changes.
  8. No rr so far, just trying to get a feel for the rhythm changes.
  9. Why are you going straight to score attack? Wouldn't it be easier to to start with 'learn a song'?
  10. That's nice, but what can you do in the mc? I know you tried it.
  11. 3.5 from me, definitely could be played as a beginner track imo . All sight reads today, I forgot to mention.
  12. Ups... I guess I got some practice time in front of me.
