I cant open it either now, think this reddit thread has some ideas

I had rocksmith working just fine as recently as thursday and all of a sudden it won't open. in steam, it says its launching, nothing happens, and the play button comes back. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue is still happening. anyone have this issue and know a fix or whats going on?

Hey cs players I noticed the low volume level at Sheela Na Gig. Just rised it up in the ppsarc as high as possible. It's a bit strange that if I rise it more its getting lower again. Now there is the ppsarc v1.3 with a higher music volume at + 5 db. If it is still not enough please turn down the guitar volume in game. V1.3

I would love to see more (specifically this one) box car racer songs

Some mastermind with appropriate knowledge would be helpful so he can script to download all CDLC to one place just in case... But this would be huge amount of data.... basically... anybody... don't delete your CDLC.. ever...

Has anyone figured out a way of adding a count-in (two beats,four beats, etc..) to a song? The goal is to sync band players to a precise beginning of the song...

if anyone could confirm i got a rocksmith 2014 update today and when i attempt to launch rocksmith 2014 it won't launch, i have reinstalled and removed all files. when i launch rocksmith 2014 via steam without the CDLC dll it launches when i re add the dll rocksmith fails to launch, this could be some condition music producers are enforcing on ubisoft in relation to content for rocksmith +. in steam right click the install and go to beta and enter "JustInCaseWeNeedIt" download backup that removes the update rocksmith then launches thank you to the poster below id never have figured this out, i am backing up all my local files just encase

Well I got my sight reads in this week, everything but Sheela Na Gig. I was jamming to it, nice way to warm up Intermediate: Always love me some Yellowcard. I might go back and fix the chart to have the tracked downbeat match the song though Advanced: Chart needs some tone/volume fixes, but a really fun track Masterclass: Wooooooo that was some good chugging

OK I"m dumb I had the DLL in the DLC folder not root.

the legacy branch didn't do anything for me, i can still play vanilla and regular DLC tracks, but CDLC is completely unavailable (it just softlocks after tuning) at times the audio bugs out and even crashes the game outright for me. way to go ubisoft, you've ruined your own damn game with just one update.

The beta solution works for me too, the only thing is respect the capital letters on JustInCaseWeNeedIt

I'd just wait for something more official. If the dll actually got updated then people that are smarter than me will post it on this forum. Until then you can just roll back the update on steam using their beta thing. Stay safe and don't download random stuff from the internet. From what I've heard update breaking cdlc is not intentional. Sounds unlikely, but they created a way to go back to version that works well. We'll see how thing will go. Just in case I already have a backup of working version of RS stored in a safe place.

You can save a tone to keys 1-4 in tone designer and load that when you load the song. I'd recommend doing that instead since it's easy and works on ever song with a "bad" tone since you can swap whenever you want. Guide below by Chainbrain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wewVQzj-hIc Otherwise you'd have to import the song into the toolkit (click import package at the bottom), then click the "imprt" button to the right of the tone list, select the song you want to get the tone from, then edit the bass arrangement, change the tone from the dropdown list and rebuild it.
