Improvements

I have too many random misses, quite strange, I can't achieve more here...

After more than a year or two break since I last played this, I improved by 1%, progress. 🙂

90 finally, though my playing wasn't that good.

Eh this is really hard playable for me. I miss the handshapes in the arpeggio sections...

Improvement after waking up

Riff repeated the intro riff for like an hour until I was able to do 90% speed

Improvement on my first try this evening

Now working on getting that riff to 100% speed and learn those chord shapes

And lead had to play this a bit to get this score, maybe a little harder than a 6 will keep trying though

neat surprise of a song! very interesting to try read the lyrics when not knowing the language, lots of zs and ws lol.  the chord slides didnt seem to want to detect for me.

Intro riffage is kinda similar to the stuff senses fails does in their songs like bite to break... or its also kinda like the chorus in f c p r e m i x by fall of troy (love that song even if i cant get a high %).
learnt some new chord shapes in drop d so thats cool.
i think i could get it up higher.

i had no idea what was going of with the arps

2nd time i noticed that the first section actually does have the shapes so that helped a bit too bad its not in all of the song cause the rhythm path doesnt seem thaat hard. just a bit hard to read

Didn't feel great but it was an improvement after all

You can also use those in any Standard tuning too because they don't use the low D string 😁

@ BubbleWrapDragon  I am puzzled why you are on the leaderboard this week as an advanced player while you compete in the intermediate class in the previous weeks? Did you change your class yourself or did someone else, but I haven't seen any information about the promotion. Did I miss something? I brought you back to intermediate, of course you can still win the Muse song and then get promoted! 😉

Because I did want the promotion for getting 99%+ last time for Intermediate 😜

Ah apparently I forgot to change it back then, which is why you were still in the intermediate class for the last 2 weeks. So I'm setting up advanced class for you now and good luck!

First scores for the week:

Probably my favorite Morrissey song and my favorite recent Beginner-level bass part in the CS:

This was my selection and I love the song and of course Muse in general, but when I played it this time I was seeing substantial recognition issues. I tried tuning tweaks and using a different tone but it didn't help. I'm not having any issues with the slides or even the more difficult parts at the end, but I'm getting a bunch of dropped notes on the long runs of straight 16th notes or whatever:

Also had a bit of a recognition issue first time I played this one but it was better on SA. I dig the song. I don't really think either of these two are true Advanced level but this one has more variety so a bit more skill needed:

I've had this in my library for a while but finally playing it for the first time here. And man I'm glad I did.  A fun and technical little song, really in the sweet spot for me of being just above my current ability to play comfortably but accessible enough that it feels good to play:
