A few things I cannot get difinitive answers on by googling

Question

Posted

Firstly, I dont want to gripe, this is a great application there are just a couple things that are very frustrating coming from tabs only.

1. When I pause I want to continue where I paused. Is there anyt option that stops this from happening. i dont want to reset to the top of the selection either. I want to keep going from where I left off. The main reason is that these selections have the dificult "flair" bits at the end and when I want to practice them i have to wait for the entire selection to go through before I can attempt it again.

2. to that same end. I want to properly rewind and forward through a song by seconds. not by selection.

3. if there is nothing like this. Is there an accompanying tableature so I can see the entire song at once or scan through it to see what I am dealing with in a song? especially when a song gets note heavy its impossible to read at 100% speed. And slowing down the song means I have to wait even longer for the end to come back to read everything.

I am very new to this application and 15 mins of searching didnt realy yield anything on the first 2 questions. Are there mods or something that can add these features? anything to help me tackle these issues indirectly may be helpful as well.

Has been my gripe for over a decade that I can not choose the exact segment of notes to repeat.

When in the riff repeater, the space bar is not a pause. Esc is the pause.

No.

Again, Esc is the pause, not the space bar. While in Riff repeater, hit the Esc button. You will be able to advance or rewind to the point you are after using left and right arrow keys.

Use the Riff Repeater to select the section that you wish to skip to i.e. near the end of the track, then use the pause menu / esc to advance to the exact position that you wish to view as tab.

Use the Riff Repeater. Hit the space bar, bring up the Riff Repeater. Change the speed to slow for the section you need. Then again, when there are too many notes, hit the esc button to enter pause, the left and right arrow keys to advance or rewind.

As I said above, Enter riff Repeater. Select the entire song. Decrease to 50% or the speed you need depending on note density. The note highway will automatically start when you adjust the speed, you do not have to hit the space bar again to start the practice right away. Let the song play, it will preview the song. As it does so as I typed above you can pause using the Esc key to focus on the song.  Hitting the space bar after being in the pause menu and advancing either direction, will often cause the speed, difficulty, and section to reset. Simply re-select the section or entire song and reset the speed to a comfortable preview speed.

No accompanying tablature included, however you can turn it back into tab; https://sourceforge.net/projects/rocksmithtotab/
