Rocksmith 1 dlc missing

Hi first time posting, I recently noticed my rocksmith 1 dlc packs were missing. I don't know when it happened but I noticed it today. I tried restarting pc, booting game in admin mode, and tried to delete the RS1 compatibility file and reinstalling buts its still missing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was going to try a fresh install but I'm not sure.

There are multiple rs1compatibility files, did you delete them all or just one of them? Reinstalling might help, I'd just make sure you backup your CDLC so you don't have to download them all again. Could also check song packs in CFSM to see if they show up there.

Not only not having to re-download, but avoid losing any that the links are now dead or such.

Hi, not sure if this post is gonna get attention but i am having the same issue, i re-installed the game, removed the rs1compatibilitydlc_p from the dlc folder, emptyed my recycling bin but every time i re-validate game files and run the game the songs are not there, I saw Phantasy mentioning multiple rs1 compatability files, i was wondering which ones those were. in hopes that i can fix this issue.

If you're on PC and deleting the rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc file didn't fix the issue, it's possible Steam is looking at a different directory.
Did the file come back to that folder after validating game files?

If it does show back up in that folder, are none of the RS1 DLC songs you own showing up?

I have multiple steam libraries but the right one is selected. there are no other rocksmith folders on my pc. The disc import DLC does show up and works propperly, the bought DLC does however not, it is mainly the Avenged Sevenfold songs for me.

Does that mean other RS1 DLC show up, just not the ones from A7x?

I would think so yes, the A7X dlc is the only rs1 dlc that i have besides the disc import stuff which is the base game, for my friends the A7X stuff is still there so i might be wondering if the ID of the rs1compatability file may be wrong?

I was hoping you had more than the A7x stuff so that if it showed up you could use CFSM to see if those songs just happened to be disabled for some reason.

You could still open it up in the song packs in CFSM, but I don't think it'll solve the problem.

Do you have any subfolders inside your dlc folder? It shouldn't cause issues, but it did for me when trying to open them in CFSM.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a reason why removing the file and restoring it by verifying game files isn't working.

THe only folder inside my dlc folder is the CDLC folder, but i doubt that that would cause any issues, even when the CDLC folder is removed from the dlc folder and moved temporarily to another drive it still doesnt work... i feel like my only option at this point is to track down a copy or original rocksmith and hope that that will work haha

My issue can be closed i managed to fix it, i deleted and re-installed steam and after launching the game they showed up again, maybe this will help others too

You re-installed the entire Steam app and it fixed it, or just Rocksmith? None of the songs I have purchased from RS1 are showing up. I had the dlc compatibility file, deleted it, with no luck.

Seems to me like they reinstalled Steam itself and not the game.

Yeah, totally uninstalling and reinstalling the Steam App put the songs from RS1 back in RS2014. I could not find them anywhere on my Steam library or in the RS2014 DLC folder, so they must be somewhere else. I do not own RS1, just some DLC. I was worried I'd have to scrap up a Steam key somewhere to get access to those DLC back. 

I'm glad it was worth the trouble of uninstalling every game I own on Steam. I tried one method that did not delete the Steam Apps folder or the user data, just made Steam reinstall every other file it needs, but that did not fix it. It had to be a complete uninstall. I also needed to re-enable the "JustInCaseWeNeedIt" beta code for the game before it worked again.

I'm back here again because the R1 DLC is gone again, and this time uninstalling and reinstalling Steam did not fix my problem. It put the rs1compatability file back after I deleted it, but I still cannot get them to come up in-game. 

Does anyone know where the RS1 DLC would be in the Steam files? Especially as someone who does not own RS1 the game? I do not know where they would be to even check if they are getting reinstalled. I've been scanning through the RS2014 DLC folder for anything that looks like Blondie - Call Me or My Chemical Romance - Planetary (Go!), as I know those two for sure are missing, but have not found anything. I have a back up from the first time I did this that I can look through, at least of the Steam folder found in C:\Program Files (x86).

The DLC is contained in the compatibility psarc file.

There is a known issue with RS1 DLC not showing up anymore if you don't own RS1. It is a Steam issue. Ubisoft is aware of the issue, and is looking into it, but the problem is with Steam and not Rocksmith.

That's what I thought. Something was wrong with Steam. I'm relieved to hear Ubisoft is looking into it. I have expected they wouldn't since the game is delisted. At least that's hopeful. Thank you for informing me!

Just here to confirm that completely reinstalling Steam solved the issue.

Ubisoft acted very unaware so i informed them in my Ticket with them.
