Wwise and RSToolkit

brezja01

Question

I had been making CDLC a while back...years ago.  Got out of it and am now getting back into it.  I updated my RSToolkit, EoF, and Ultrastar Creator.  I uninstalled Wwise (2014.x.x.x version) thinking a new one would help and be needed.

I can't re-install the old version that I had, as it's not supported in the online installer.  What version of Wwise are people using?  Should I just install the newest 2017.x.x.x version and go with that?

I see that RSToolkit has a Wwise integration where it should automatically convert the file as long as you have the program installed...but I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered.

@@brezja01, well yes, I've got wwise 2017.1.x when I added support for it, so you can try wil latest wwise or pick any version you want, from 2014 to 2017 since it's all supported there. So basically select a guitar.ogg you've got from eof and make sure you've got wwise installed(supported version ofc.) run ot once or set wwiseroot variable in wwise launcher and you're fine(well toolkit should pick wwise default location anyways), no manual conversion required, toolkit can do it for you.

You may also have other questions, I'm sure. Make your EOF to stop saving that wav files so your cdlc project folder won't go big ;)
