Songs randomly disappear & reappear

AvalonSutra

Question

I run RS2014 on a Mac, using the Mac CustomSongToolKit to convert several cDLCs to Mac format. Most of them show up in RS but there's always one or two that go missing. Next time I launch RS they might be back but some other is missing. This is seemingly random behavior. I use the Cherub Rock ID on all songs as per default.

Anyone familiar with this issue?

It does happen sometimes randomly, especially with large numbers of customs in the dlc folder.  Always make sure that you wait for the "Enumerating List" to finish before entering Learn A Song.

However, if it is happening on a more consistent basis for you, it's likely that you have a conflict with one or more customs.  It's a bit of a pain, but you'll have to remove all of your customs and add them back in small batches until you find the one(s) causing a problem.

Ah, that makes sense.  I'm having the same problem, except my CDLC seem to be fine, it's large chunks of ODLC that aren't showing up for me.  Probably the same issue, though.  Funny thing is, I'm not getting the "Enumerating downloadable content..." message when I start up (but I've seen it before, so I know what to look for).  Maybe I need to take one out and add it back so RS notices a change and re-indexes everything?  Lemme give it a go and see what happens.

Edit: OK, geez, no...I'm just an idiot.  I was juggling things around, running CFSM with my ODLC directory moved elsewhere so I didn't spend a bunch of time constantly re-scanning ODLC files, and I forgot to move it back.  Ugh.  I guess the "ODLC" I was seeing are the songs that actually come with the game; presumably they're in a different directory and RS could still see them.  Move along, nothing to see here...
