MC lead, happy to get 90%. Long song, and half of it is a solo! Red cross on last section, my usual bad sightreading

mc lead, 8.5 is fine, that's a looong solo, nothing impossible, but I need to understand if I find the time
I like the arpeggios as usual with Bon Jovi, even if they are too mainstream for me

a lot to catch up on!

Except I bought mine used, the paint job is dented in two spots and the toggle switch is silver instead of black. Up until now I didn't know that it came with EMGs, cause mine didn't have them, but in a strange coincidence thats exactly what I swapped in. Also the frets look like they've been leveled, but I have no way of confirming that.
For lower tunings I have one of these: https://reverb.com/item/52141022-fernandes-ravelle-shin-demon-ltd-2011-artwork . Bought new, kept it stock. Looks like it appreciated in price a bit.
Bass is a cheapo Vision 4 string.
that cort is slick, all black. Never heard of fernandes, I like the drawings

I've also got a Ibanez GRG7221 7 string I keep in drop B and a Harley Benton R-458 8 string I try to keep in drop D#, but they don't see much usage in the championship. Also got a digitech drop pedal recently so I don't need to retune as much for general rocksmithing.
For bass I've got a Jaxville demon and a Harley Benton PJ-5 HTR 5 string that I both keep in standard tuning.
Nothing too fancy but good enough to play/chart the kinda songs I like.As main I have this made in japan Jackson Soloist from 2003, bought when I was young as a B-stock (now that b-stock is a concept )
I have also this 1996 made in japan Jackson TH1, my first serious guitar, bought in 1999 or around that time. Now dedicated to drop d or in general to drop tuning.
I love Harley Benton, I've got an EX-84 blue with EMGs (81/60 I think, @ nlbsmglsk are these also yours?) for 6 months but I had to sent it back due to an issue, but I think I will buy again one HB soon. Need a guitar without Floyd Rose
To change tunings I use an old zoom pedalboard (G2.u1) from my days of humble gigs with the band. Does the job, but doesn't work well on leads when I go under C# std from ENo bass in my house at the moment

the main guitar i use is an esp ltd 401 arrow its sucks tuning it but i like the guitar shape, helps for reaching the higher frets and stretching your fingers.
ah it's a sick V! I agree on tuning, I've two floyds, hate them for that. Do you play seated, with the V between the legs? doesn't it slip out on one leg?

lol thanks that was my first playthrough of the song i like to position myself and the monitor to make sight reading easy while occasionally looking at the fretboard but i think recently i got the hang of the fretboard more and could focus on sight reading more
that's really impressive sightreading, especially for lead parts.
Do you have a good music theory knowledge (or are you a professional?) and use scales to "predict" where the lead is going?
Out of curiosity, what is your main guitar?also curious to hear from @ nlbsmglsk and @ coldrampage which guitars they are using.
mc rhythm improved, this can be FCed with a litte more effort

I'm starting to like it, a lot!

@ nlbsmglsk yes it's probably easier than the average mc but hey sometimes it's satisfying to learn the solo properly without grinding too much
@ Bottledpat12 reveal to us your secret. Do you learn and memorize every part before doing a run? Or is extreme sight-read combined with total precision in execution? We're curious!!
mc lead in the meantime

sight-read... didn't really had the time to understand what was happening

You had to see my face when I realized (listening to it) that the Arc en Ciel song was the soundtrack of the Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) anime, which was one of my favorite animes when it came out (I was in my early 20s)
So I love it! Rhythm is a 7.5
Lead with the solo is 8 but I need to study it
I've listened also to Maximum Hormone.. I didn't expect that, but I like the great difference between Rollings Stones and them
Also Nightwish is always in my heart. Every early song
Thanks for the choices!

mc rhythm again, I couldn't accept the red cross in the score

after studying the solo (which i do almost perfectly on 75% speed now) and some more runs
"sightreading" rhythm for the first time (red x was a new section not present in lead which I completely fu*ked up)

this was tough, even practicing the parts (but not the solo), maybe I need to scale down to advanced

I checked, and it turns out I go down on the chord, then down-down-down, down-up-down, down-up-down. Never really thought about it.
thanks, alternate picking was very weird.
my mc score can be totally improved but I'm out all day tomorrow so that's it

About the preacher, guitar, do you go with only downstrokes in the first riff, the one with chords, right? I'm starting practicing it slow now

wow, congrats! no game at all this week
As someone reported, I have the same issue on the DD of Paranoid (first two bars are not 100% DD and I can't bring them up to 100)
as someone already said, some parts are literally the same of beautiful people by MM
Simple song but I liked it, yes it's a 3. 95% mostly because I kept getting errors on recognizing open E notes because I was picking so hard, can't resist
unexpected
I will dig a bit into Testament but old trash it's not my cup of tea (I've always been more on power/epic metal like Blind Guardian, and Dream Theater, than Metallica)

@ nlbsmglsk after 4 more tries i'm close but as I can see it's not enough anyway it was a good race
i'm keeping getting the main slide on the D chord wrong and getting the solo right, weird
also my bends on 22th do not register, so 100% is impossibleI confirm low 8 as difficulty
