Yeah, figured that 7-x-0-7 sounds about the same. Now I'm having trouble with detection on the next chord. The only one so far in this song, namely 7x8

I swear The Mars Volta has some of the weirdest chords out there but somehow they sound good. My hands are teenage girl-sized and that 2-7 chord is goddamn impossible

@ Hey Motive, I've tried both versions of 'This was my life' and I've got the same problem with both: Power chords have a lot of trouble registering for some reason. I have to hit the strings incredibly hard and even then it's a crapshoot. I usually get anywhere between 1 and 5 misses just on the intro, before the riff begins. Now, I know this can't be my playing, because other songs register my power chords just fine and I don't have to hit nearly as hard. Do you have any tips or suggestions or does someone else have this problem?
